Sports. If you're a sports fan then you've got to try it. The espn3d channel on uverse looks amazing. Its going to suck watching in 2d again after watching game 4 of Mavs v Thunder in 3d last night. While it's not as cool as being at the game in person it's the next best thing. Looks very life like. They were playing some X games commercials and it looked crazy in 3d. I actually felt my stomach turn when they had the camera showing the view that a rider would be looking at as they are flying in the air. I'll admit I was wondering if I had wasted my money on the 3D capabilities and if 3D would just be a fad but after last night I have no doubt. 3D is here to stay.

And that's exactly why I'll try to avoid watching anything in 3d, it always makes me nauseous.

Once I see glasses free then we'll talk. Until then there's no way I'm wearing $100+ glasses to watch TV.

Translation: I can't afford a 3d tv so it suxxors.

I think he means the glasses part. The effect imo is great. The only downfall is the glasses. I already wear glasses and I don't mind putting them on for movie, but if i was going to watch a lot of sports (football all day, or a fight then a movie) the glasses would get old, especially for me putting glasses on glasses. Now if there were some good way to attach them or go glassesless then that'd be a bonus.

Like I said, the effect is great. The only downfall i think there is are the comfort of the glasses.

Once they start making porn in 3d it's all over. The economy will come to a screeching halt and rotting corpses will be found on computer chairs throughout the country.

Yup. Just take a look at craigslist and you'll see how successful 3d tech as it currently is. I spent $240 for 2 pairs, had my glasses for 2 months, my wife and I got bored with it and ended up selling them....I only got $100 for both pairs. There is so much competition on ebay and craigslist because everyone is selling them.

The glasses are inconvenient and are yet another thing to clutter up the coffee table (or equivalent). For TVs, 3D is merely a gimmick in my honest opinion. However, for a dedicated theater room with a sizable projector system, 3D might work well.

That reminds me... They filmed UFC on VS 3 in 3d (I was there, I remember the extra cameramen on the side of the cage with the rediculously big cameras). I wonder how it turned out. Anyone here catch it in 3d?
