I wonder why the date of 2 AUG is the so called drop dead date for action on the so called debt crisis? Could it be that our current Fool, Bobo, the Post Turtle, has a big day scheduled for campaign fund raising in Chicago on 3 AUG?

If for no other reason than to screw with his party, I hope that Congress will put off any action till at least 9 AUG.

Besides that who among us has $38,000 to pay to attend one of his "birthday" parties.

You want Congress to risk a worldwide financial panic to screw up an Obama fundraising event?

I know I've said this before, but it bears repeating: You are extremely stupid.

Let's see.....

There was this Fool, Bobo, the Post Turtle that said that if his Stimulus Package was voted on immediately the United States would fail and go into a great depression with unemployment over 8%. so the Democrat control Congress yes, Yes Sir, Boss, and passed the $787 billion give away bill on a Friday afternoon.

Was it rushed to the White House to be signed by the President? NO. Did the President sign it Saturday? NO. Well then maybe Sunday? NO. Then surely Monday? Again, NO. This wasteful bill was signed on Tuesday. Why not earlier if there was such a crisis in the country? Well, our Fool, Bobo, the Post Turtle was in Chicago attending a party for himself.

The date of 2 AUG is just pulled out of thin air. We are not, repeat, NOT going to be in default of anything come 2 AUG, with or without a debt ceiling agreement.

Implementing federal spending takes time to, and the relevant agencies were already moving before the bill was officially signed. The debt limit is a restriction on federal action that can be implemented almost immediately. The two are nothing alike.

You said yourself that you want Congress to delay action simply to screw with Obama, and all your economics expertise on the date of default aside, to wish for a minimum of continued uncertainty in markets just to piss off a politician you don't like is the height of childish and irresponsible behavior.

Aren't you the least bit embarrassed at how you act on here, all things considered? Oh, and don't think we don't notice the irony of one of the stupidest people on this board calling the president a fool. If your standard of intelligence is acting like you, we need more 'stupid' people in office. Maybe you should get your grandkids to post instead, they couldn't do worse.

Because people that look at this type of thing for a living, who also happen to know better than the post tortoise OP, looked at the rate of federal expenditure and came to a logical conclusion. Must you look at EVERYTHING that Obama is involved in and see something nefarious? Put the tinfoil down...

To answer your question: Yes!

p.s., Since when did the so called experts/professionals know anything about what the economy is or is not going to do?

I'm guessing this isn't the first time you've been recognized as the worst poster on P&N?

The date of AUGUST 2nd is right up to the last week of Congress' summer session before its month-long recession.

But.. don't let facts spoil your rant.

Ahh. The experts don't know anything about what the economy is going to do, but you do know what the economy is going to do as you are certain that we won't be in default on August 2nd. Glad you cleared that up for us, genius.

Well, technically you're correct. But I'm sure you'd be up there if we added your other user names.

I had one other user name....bluebunny....but that was years ago. I post on many sites, all as a777pilot.
