who's your most & least favorite Food Network personality?

Most: Alton because he is science turned cook/chef. I don't respect him as a host on any show...only the old-school Good Eats where he really thrived....

In the Middle:
I like Mario because he is the real deal for Italian cooking and you can see that he knows not to overseason. Giada because she knows how to sell what she's cooking... I like Bobby when he doesn't act so stuck up *(the guy has a chip on his shoulder, but that's common for good chefs) and Guy too, but only on DDD. He was made for that show and always stays positive and upbeat to his hosts. For cooking....I don't follow him much.
Least: Anne Burrell because she's not original....she stole Guy Fieri's style and somehow got away with it!

Therefore he is my favorite. I also like the cutthroat show.

Second place would be Bobby Flay who runs one of my favorite restaurants in Vegas, Mesa Grill. Their pork tenderloin sandwich is ridiculously delicious, among many other delicious things there. Probably responsible for at least a couple of my top 10 best meals ever.

Don't really have beef with any of them to say they're my least favorite. I guess Guarnachelli is kinda a c-word.

Sure he LOOKS like a complete douche with bleached spikes, sunglasses, attire, etc.

But is he an asshole? Has he insulted/act like an ass to colleagues & others? The moments I caught him on TV, he seems to be just fine, being respectful to chefs, and etc.

I don't care for him, I don't even have Food Network (cut the cord). I challenge you to rethink you knee-jerk reaction.

My wife watches a fair number of the shows, mostly the food blogger/celeb shows though. When it's on I usually tune out. We both liked Alton's old Good Eats show. But of the ones she watches on Saturday mornings, the one we despise is Sunny on The Kitchen. She's utterly disgusting; even the other hosts have trouble disguising their distaste for her at times. She's a total pig, practically knocking the others out of the way to get at the food. We're waiting for the day when she loses all control and just dives head first into whatever dish is in reach.

Least: Fieri and Rachel Ray, and that one Sandra Lee chick, who was even worse than Rachel Ray. Her whole show was how to open cans of food and combine them in a baking dish, cover with cheese, and bake for 30 minutes.

I used to like Giada, but I don't really like her recipes and the show is just too overdone....but she is easy on the eyes and never fails to make me happy.

As you mentioned, Fieri looks like a douche. He also acts like one and tries to be a cool "bro" but comes off as completely contrived, unfunny, obnoxious, and annoying.

In short, Guy Fieri is exactly what I imagine Alkemyst would be like if he starred on a cooking show.

I forget the woman's name on there, but she could make "Pros" sweat bullets in tests most of the time.

I've become very disenchanted with chopped. Their judging lineup is getting really irritating and it loses something when 95% of contestants are there for some sort of professional validation. I mean practically every woman on the show "wants to prove that women can hang in the kitchen with the men" and so many other contestants want to show their parents/family/whatever that dropping out of school to be a cook wasn't a mistake.

At least with CTK pretty much everyone is just there to have fun and maybe win some money, they haven't all staked every hope and dream on winning the competition.

My wife and I play a game when chopped is on, it involves guessing which contestant is going to have to tell the whole world their sexual orientation. That is probably the last thing I want to think about when I am cooking something. I wish some dude or chick would get on the show and talk about their love of vagina or cock and how it inspires them to cook better.

Hmm, well I mainly just watch Chopped Canada and I don't really remember a lot of that. I only watch the American version on occasion.

This may be the only time I've ever preferred the Canadian version of an American program, but I certainly do in this case.

Chopped is the same thing over and over and over........

Now they're incorporating cooked items in the baskets to change things up. WTF do you do with something that is processed or already cooked??? The show is getting old and stale.

CTK is hilarious so not sure why people don't like it. Must be that rotting thing I was referring to.

I met Alex Guarnaschelli when I went to Butter with my wife. She's cool.

Robert Irvine is pretty cool as well... even though he hit on my wife.

Alton is my favorite and my least is Amanda Freitag -- unwatchable and ugly despite people online saying she's pretty. BRUTAL. Ruins Chopped anytime she is on.
