George Carlin is my favourite.

His routine about words was the one that got me into him

"Extra Chocolatey"

"Extra Choc-latey"

"You know what that means"?

NO FCUKING CHOCOLATE!

I agree....I saw him live a few years back and my gut hurt after leaving. The thing is, he didn't tell any jokes! He just told like 4 continuous stories. He's more of a great story teller than a comdedian I would say. Excellent!

Jerry Seinfield hasn't been mentioned yet. His standup is a riot...especially when he gets questions from the audience.

Can't believe no one's mentioned Eddie Murphy. Delirious and Raw were fvcking hilarious. I've still got them memorized from years ago (yeah, my mom let her 11 year old listen to Eddie Murphy standup...I love my mom).

Hmm. Carlin is great. I saw him live last time around and my sides hurt from laughing. I've also seen Richard Jeni and he's just great. Other ones I like include Craig Shoemaker, Paul Rodriguez, Kinison, Seinfeld and Chris Rock.
