Not a single mention of Hulk Hogan? I mean come on, the guy did a lot for pro wrestling. I haven't watched wrestling since I was a kid, but I know he was a great showman and he brought a lot of publicity to the WWF.

This is a TOUGH question, but a few come to mind...

- The Road Warriors (aka Legion of Doom). Everybody else ACTS tough, but these guys are the REAL deal
- The Bushwackers (some funny bastards!)
- George "The Animal" Steel (Scary fella!)

But, my ALL TIME FAVORITE is... Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka, there's just NOBODY else that could fly like him!

[me pounds forehead] Ah man! How could I have forgotten him!?! He was great to watch. I used to sneak over to a friend's to watch wresting when I was a kid as my folks thought it was too violent and wouldn't let me watch it. This was back in the late 70's/early 80's when Superfly and all the other old-school guys were on.

YES!!! Amish is the MAN!!

Ricky the Dragon Steamboat---- > best ever!

My second would be the the tag team dynamic duo of the British Bulldogs!!

man that brings back memories!

metallibloke: Yes, Andre died several years ago. Poor health and getting on up there in years finally did him in. 🙁

Brother Love!

Oh wait, a wrestler? Then it would have to be Jesse "The Body" Ventura. Look at where he is now. Even some of his movie lines were great.

Bunch of slackjawed......

yes ricky the dragon steamboat kicked ass,

Hulk Hogan use to be so kewl too.

Too bad wrestling has changed sooo much.....🙂

I have three:

Ricky the Dragon Steamboat
Ravishing Rick Rude
Razor Ramon - loved it whenever he threw that toothpick into the crowd

How come nobody's mentioned "Chico" Santana yet? 😉

hey, anyone remember "rugged ronnie garvin"? he kinda sucked, but he had perhaps one of the coolest finishing moves ever...the "garvin stomp"! basically...he just stomps the guy a good 10 times all over the body. 😀 :Q 😎

my fav tag teams were the road warriors and the hart foundation. demolition was pretty cool too. and please tell me u were kidding about the rockers....whoever said that. 😉

it's definately Hogan... if you can just forget his selfish ways and lethargic in ring skills for a second and remember him back in the mid-80's, early 90's [in WWF] when this guy was the ultimate entertainer... this guy put all your asses in the seats!

glen

How could I forget Dusty Rhodes!

He lived a few miles from me growing up (or at least he had a house here).... what a character. He made Tampa proud! 😀

Pampero Firpo the "Raging Bull of the Pampas" (Circa 1970)

You said my favorite but there are sooo many and most were already mentioned.

Nobody said "Buddy Love or Mankind" or one of his other incarnations.

Dusty was pretty big, but how could anyone forget any of these guys:
Mr. Wrestling #2
Kabukie
The Iron Sheik
Abdullah the Butcher
Ivan Koloff
Rowdy Roddy Piper
Dusty Rhodes
Nature Boy Ric Flair
Wahoo McDaniel
King Kong Bundy
Tony Atlas
