I would have to disagree, this is a very moderate and balanced forum.

I would have to disagree. Do you know that when compared to the average person I am a moderate, even a bit to the right of most poeple? Yet, can you honestly tell me that you (and others from the AT righ wing gang) don't think me of as a "bleeding heart liberal"?

The ass tubes will only work at peak efficiency if Hillary is President. I'm sure the extra generation capacity Hillary would bring to the equasion could pay for universal health care. Just the syphoning off of all that pressure ought to save billions in the health costs for the millions of anal rentents out there.

I believe Kerry would be the best bet for them to have a chance at bush. You can't go too left or you won't get the undecided votes.

How does having federal health insurance equate to making medical decisions?
The feds would ultimately decide on levels of coverage, how often you can get service, who who get it from, etc. It would limit your freedom by limiting your choices, just as the HMO fiasco did.

That would not happen. Look at Dean's health care statement:
Guaranteeing coverage to all Americans will involve a mix of state and federal programs, as well as the existing private sector.
Do HMOs stop you from having some kind of treatment? No, some things they will not pay for, in which case you would have to pay for it yourself. Nobodys freedom is going to go away by making sure everyone has health coverage.

Execpt that you can pick your coverage level with private insurance. You know in advance what is covered, and what is not. Once there is national healthcoverage, everyone will be treated the same. This will means if done as well as other countries, it will be slower, rationed health care for the masses.

And how is this going to change under Dean's plan?? It won't. You'll still be free to have private health coverage.
Take a look at what Dean wants to do and stop the canned rhetoric about universal health coverage.

People also have the right to send their kids to private school, but most cant afford it after paying for public schools. THis is just another thing that i would rather the goverment not be involved in.

In vermont a lot of the insurances companys have left which is driving the cost of insurance up. When my parents looked into getting health insurance for a famiy of 5 it was some where around 600 - 700 dollars a year with a 10K deductable.

Hey where's Al Gore? IS he not running any more?

BTW, a federally mandated health insurance is not the same as federal operated health insurance service... the health insurance still maintain by private company, only that having it is requirement much like having basic car insurance is required for every car owner (according to law, but in practice...)

I think Bush is pretty cleaver, myself. He has most all the people that think I'm a moron thinking he's pretty smart. How else can you explain that?

Kerry / Clark might have the best chance since they would help to nix Bush's biggest draw.

Personally, I'm hoping the GOP picks a new ticket so I can vote Republican.

Not a bad ticket. I think Powell/Clark would be pretty nice. Colin Powell is a Republican in upstate NY or northern CA. In every other part of the country he's a Democrat.

I prefered one who could keep their pants on and actually wore them occasionally whenever their spouse was not wearing them...also, one who would tell me how it is and not one to blow smoke up my ass....basically I wanted someone else rather than a ball-less, sleazy slut of a used car salesman...Also someone who would not sell secrets to China nor rent out the White House as some sort of cheap hotel... thank God for term limits

I don't think the location of the president's pants matters one bit. Personal relations matter very little to the quality of a President.

You claim Clinton sold secrets to the Chinese? Many in the Bush admin were involved in giving WMD to Hussein. Which of those two countries have we fought twice in 15 years? Which one does the current administration claim might use these weapons to kill us?

I really don't see a strong democratic candidate for president yet.

Laura Bush is walking around naked?!

also, one who would tell me how it is and not one to blow smoke up my ass....
So President Bush what will your tax cut do for the economy? "Well, it won't stimulate the economy . . . it's more of a growth package. Hypothetically it might create over a million jobs by the end of 2004 (but I doubt it). If left alone the economy will likely do fine but I'm going through the motions so I won't follow in ALL my father's footsteps. My budget will definitely limit spending on every other aspect of government EXCEPT defense spending. The prescription drug benefit is on life support. Leave No Child Behind will never be fully funded. Medicare is on the chopping block and every state in the union is curtailing Medicaid."

Curiously, I don't remember Bush saying anything like the above.

basically I wanted someone else rather than a ball-less, sleazy slut of a used car salesman...
Clearly, the man has balls. Quite a few women across at least a dozen states have seen them. Sleazy slut? A touch redunant, eh?

Also someone who would not sell secrets to China nor rent out the White House as some sort of cheap hotel... thank God for term limits
Actually Cheney rented out the VP residence but heh he's a good man so I guess that's OK. So basically you are saying our traitorous, corrupt ex-President would have been re-elected in 2000?!

You are so mistaken.

GOP = grand ole party . . . nothing but good, honest, God-fearing people who can do no wrong.

Democrats = socialist, which is just another way of saying wannabe commie . . . untrustworthy, homosexual-socializing, sinful, tax-loving heathens.

As far as I can see the Dark Side has risen to ascendency. I can see nothing to stop it. There is nothing left now but the slim chance that like the phoenix humanity will rise from the ashes. Madness reigns and the Dark Lord is on his throne. The toilet bowl has flushed and there's nothing much left now for those who think they on a merry-go-round but maybe a brief moment of realization and regret.

Of course he would have been, the economy was for the most part booming and was just entering the recession. He was good at schmoozing other political leaders as well as telling the american public what they wanted to hear regardless of whether it was true. As I said before, clinton is a used car salesman...How can they make a living? Because someone is gullible and stupid enough to support them....of which I think quite a few have posted in this thread.

Bush is indeed horrible at schmoozing other political leaders (foreign) but he's quite adept at telling the American public what they want to hear regardless of its veracity.

You are quite right, Sir. I've finally acknowledged the political right AND left are clearly delusional with little hope for returning to reality.

Hehe, quite so. Not quite ready for this yet though?:

Maybe harboring hope for a third party?

I'd look for revolution first. HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPELESS!
