My dad is dead.

thanks for entering this thread, you are buzzkill of the year

No problem, seems I am not the only one with a dead dad, go figure. I was honest, excuse me.
Same. But he was a priest, chemistry teacher, and headmaster (that is principal for those that go to government school) 😀

company he worked for had to downsize and relocate after 9/11...after being with them for more than 3 decades they wanted to relocate him, he refused (and rightfully so)...so he retired, currently takes care of my mom, sis and dog at home as well as does maintenance/carpentry/cooking for the fam...

My dad worked at a brewery for 25 years, and once they closed the plant down he became an air conditioning specialist. Now he travels around the world starting up these machines at US embassies.

my dad is an architect, graduated from berkeley.. my step-dad-in-law is a mechanic, and my father-in-law is a prison guard (so he really does kick ass on a daily basis)

my dad works for nortel...manages IT/some software support in China & other parts of Asia

his group in RTP was getting laid off/out-sourced, so he volunteered to go to China...seems like a good career decision for him

Dad's name is Tim, and he is a retired systems and network engineer at IBM. Now he works for one of the customers he setup a network for while at IBM.
