Who's working in an office with ridiculous temperatures?

Setting offices with no heat/AC aside, who has to work in the worst conditions? I'm talking regular corporate climates, not auto shops or deep sea microbiologists, etc.

My building has hovered around 80F for the entire winter. We've complained non-stop, and they claim to be doing HVAC work, but there have been no improvements.

EDIT: 79.5... when will it stop??!?!?!?!
EDIT: 79.4
EDIT: Now at 79.3. IT'S ALIVE!!

80F sucks when you're sitting at a desk trying to work.
I'm glad we moved into a different office upstairs where the HVAC seems to work much better.

Same here. I'm in the south, and today is relatively cool at 50F outside.

shorts/t-shirts are not an option. We have to wear slacks/polo's/button downs/ and blazer/sport coat in the building. Some days it's ties and it's unbearable.

I think we have some middle aged women running the thermostat for 700+ people here.

At my office too the temperature runs high. It was around 85F until we got some large fans and had them blow in air from outside. The afternoons are real killer when trying to work in the heat.

I sit in a cube right below the AC that cools the entire room. Its always about 60F right in my area, but 10 degrees warmer 5 feet away. I have to take breaks and thaw out my hands every once in a while.

Damn that's hot. We can't bring any cold air in because none of the freakin' windows open.

The room my office is in is unusually hot during the winter. Something about the location in the building and the way the air flows (or lack of it). The rest of the office is fine, just my room is some 5-10 degrees hotter.

HVAC is always a rough thing to do right. I've never seen one done where everyone is the comfortable, or even where the temperature managed to stay the same office wide. We do our best to keep the entire office 72-74 degrees.

A few weeks back, our heat wasnt working. Was a nice ~55F in my office. I had to keep my jacket on all day!

My office is always freezing cold. In the winter, the heat doesn't work well enough, so it's freezing. In the summer, the air conditioner works too well, so it's freezing. People walk around in sweaters and use space heaters year round. That said, I much prefer the cold to a hot office. I've come in on the weekends in the summer with the AC off and man does it suck. You can always add layers to stay warm, but there's not much you can do to keep cool.

i have the AC on and set at 68

i live/work in Upstate NY

it was snowing this morning

since i work in a small office with a fatty, he demands the AC run constantly. So, i'm usually freezing my balls off.

fatty could stand to sweat off some of his belly. I know you get out of breath answering the phone, fatty, but you can stand to sweat some weight off.

He could lose 30 lbs and still be fat.

So if the AC is on and set to 68, and it was snowing this morning, that means it's around 32F in your office? Did you mean you have the heat on 68?

I have no clue what the temp is but if I had to guess it's about 74f right now.

Just right IMO.

My server room is sadly warmer than the rest of the building 🙁

Not good for the health of the servers in there but we're beyond the capacity of what the rooms AC system was designed for.
