Who's waiting for R600?

Well I'm now using an X1950XTX so I'll probably wait for the equivalent card in the R600 generation to be released before considering upgrading.

Yeah, that & i don't really need a new card till UT2k7 arrives, since my X1900XT handles everything else decently so far.

I'm considering a 24" LCD now though, so that might change soon.
 
I'm certainly waiting for R600, and I am very curious to see how it performs. In the meantime however, I am going to continue using my 8800GTX. 🙂
 
I'm waiting for the Intel price-cuts first so I can upgrade my CPU (and motherboard) then I will be getting whatever is the best GPU out at that time (R600, 650 or whatever it is).

Nothing I play right now requires more than my 7900GT can handle. Until a game I am interested in gives my 7900 indegestion, I'll stick with what I have.

I am buying my rig in Feb. From the looks of it, I don't think R600 will be out by then, so no, I'm not going to wait further.

I gave up on buying the G80. For that matter no R600. I saw no need to have such GPU since im not going to shell out money on games and countless hours of gaming. (wouldnt mind having one to test it and try to figure out its architectural weakeness/strengths though)

So this 6800GT AGP (i bought for $115) will last me another 2~3 years playing 3d intensive graphics of warcraft3 and maybe mine sweeper/solitare flawlessly.

This might change if Starcraft2 or diablo3 was around the corner though.. 😀
 
I'm just waiting for something that's $200 and outperforms my X1900AIW significantly. It'll likely be one of Nvidia's mid/high-mid range cards, since I'm doing a system overhaul at the end of this month.

That's why its not worth having kids. You spend all kinds of time, money and energy raising them and putting them through college and what do you get out of it? Nothing. I'll never understand breeders.

that's very short-sighted view. If there were no breeders then there wouldn't be anybody around to wipe your ass once you are old and you need help. Think about that.

So was it not worth it for your parents to have you? Like the person above me said, that's a pretty short-sighted view. I hope you were just joking.

About R600, my current card should hold me over for a while since I only game at 1280x1024 anyway. Hopefully R600 is a great card and continues the competition.
