The sad thing about these kinds of threads (and applicable to all forums) is that there's always some kind of strict cut-off at which you are defined as a member of the original crew or not, and it's probably 2002 on ATOT. :'(

No there isn't. Any crew that cuts off membership by date is a crew that's destined for failure. You judge new recruits by the strength of their ability to hang with you. Now, granted, by ATOT standards, ain't no one been down to break dance in 11 years or so, so ain't nothin' but some mark-ass bustas round here now, but the point stands.
When I read, I post.
But in the last 10 years, I have spent more time away from this site not.
Yep, whatever happened to that snake? Anyhow, just decided to come out of retirement recently after about a 7 year break, missed this place.
Don't get me wrong, it's not that new people are completely cut off. I'm sure that theflyingpig in his brief, cherished life is more highly ranked than many a 2001-registering member (and not just the lurkers). But there will always be a few particular forum events and member leavings that anyone beyond will not have experienced, and that shit counts when it comes to forum cred. For example, on a forum founded in October 2002, I joined December 2002 and it exploded a bit later and for many months (maybe years) to come, and in fact didn't even have moderators until June 2003 despite getting probably ~15000 posts per day. I was banned in August 2003, and despite nearly a decade having passed since then (and no re-registration shenanigans) they still talk about me and even register accounts pretending to be me. Forum registration date means everything. D:
Always good to see you around. You forums bitd had a good crew too. I also miss docmanhattan; hope he is doing great.Yep, whatever happened to that snake? Anyhow, just decided to come out of retirement recently after about a 7 year break, missed this place.
