Adjusted for inflation, that's like $550K/yr today.

Never flown 1st class, never been to Europe or on Safari, don't own a home, drive a beater car.

I make great money, have no desire to buy Legos, want to retire at age 45, realistically 47. I live a simple life and splurge on camping/backpacking equip, quality craft beer and decent scotch.

My family makes me feel rich!
