I actually got a little excited cause I clicked on the "Warehouse Deals" and read "15% Off ALL Sports and Outdoors Accessories." I got quite a few things on a wishlist that are in that category.

After clicking around a bit, it's not really all Sports and Outdoors items, just a small subset. Damnit.

Browsed Walmart a little... nothing amazing there either. Some headliners that are probably sold out, or in general a shitty brand - but thats it.

Fortune.com:
If Twitter is anything to go by, the verdict on Amazon’s Prime Day deals has been: they kinda suck...

Some have noted that the products on offer, ranging from supplements to tupperware to a huge barrel of lube, aren’t really on most shoppers’ wish list:

Amazon Prime Day -- underwhelming...

I'm surprised they're not pimping out their own products more... I don't need a new Kindle, but I would have bought the newest model if it was on sale anyways just for the minor upgrades.

and maybe a 1-year Glacier deal or something.

What are you talking about? The Kindle and Kindle Fire HD 7 sale is right on the front page.

Amazon and Wal-Mart have learned well from past Black Fridays and Cyber Mondays. Advertising for online events is mostly viral and essentially free and people are stupid. You don't have to invest much to hype a gigantic sale and you don't have to deliver on the promises. The suckers will still line up and try to find something to buy because they fear missing out on some hot deal that everyone will be talking about the next day. Of course it's just a garage sale of the junk they couldn't sell the other 364 days, deep down inside everyone knows that going in, but like Lotto buyers everyone plays hoping that this time it's really going to be the one.

Was really disappointed in the kitchen sales. After checking a lot of prices on CamelCamelCamel I gave up buying a new kitchenaid mixer and just bought a used 4.5qt for $181. Been having pretty good luck buying used stuff on amazon lately, so decided to roll the dice again.

Edit: After thinking it over, I decided to cancel. Just going to put a watch on CCC, and see how low it will go in the next few months.

Edit 2: Check that... Found out target had a damn good deal on a 5qt pro series (all metal internals) for $225 w/free ship, I used my Target CC to knock another 5% off. http://www.target.com/p/kitchenaid-professional-5-qt-mixer-kv25g0x/-/A-17295196

This is bullshit. I click on a monitor immediately once its available and I am 500 deep on the wait list. These deals are a scam to drive you to the site today.

I just picked up an Xbox One 1TB with Halo Collection, Borderlands Collection, and one year of Xbox Live for $400, great deal and I've been wanting an Xbone for a while.
