Maybe Amazon is going to go the way of Guitar Center/Musicians Friend where EVERY DAY IS A SALE (prices marked down off our hiked up MSRP to make it look like we're saving you money!) because EVERYDAY IS A SALE! - when in reality, we have some OK deals, but for the most part it's just all hype to make think you we're having a sale.

Of the three things I was looking at none are on sale. Front page seems to be mostly crap you'll ultimately use but nothing exciting. Does anyone get excited about laundry and floor cleaners being on sale?
Essentially Amazon trolled a bunch of other online & physical retailers into having big sales.

Link not working?

Sorry, for some reason it was working. Try this:
http://www.amazon.com/health-person.../ref=topnav_storetab_hpc?ie=UTF8&node=3760901

That links to health and personal care, you'll see the deal there and click on it to get to the page.

One thing to note is that you will first add the gift card to the cart, and then your other stuff over $75 only from the items shown on that page. One other thing regarding the protein - if you want Optimum Nutrition gold standard whey, you cannot change the flavor (from double rich chocolate) or the deal won't work. Hopefully I'm going to like the chocolate. :D I picked No Rush shipping to get an additional $5 off my next order. So my order came to 118 for the 10lbs of protein with $30 back in gift cards. So kickass deal at 25% off 2 tubs.

I was just about to post what IronWing said. This is more like an Amazon garage sale. Not coordinated/organized at all and a ton of random things on sale you would never want that you have to browse through.

The organization of items sucks. It's virtually impossible to browse through things.

was really hoping there'd be a nice sale on a decent 30-40" tv, though. we need something small-ish and lightweight to wall-mount in the bedroom, since our old tv broke in the move.

I was hoping for this as well and for the same exact reason. I currently have nothing in my bedroom as far as a TV goes. I've got an extra Roku waiting to be used!

The list provided yesterday (http://phx.corporate-ir.net/phoenix.zhtml?c=176060&p=irol-newsArticle&ID=2067573) mentioned a 40" LED TV but no other information. Can't find anything else about it....

So far it looks like this may backfire on them in terms of making a bigger name for themselves. But they probably gained a lot of Prime members. I like Amazon and hope they grow further, but this was just poor execution so far.

I'm surprised they're not pimping out their own products more... I don't need a new Kindle, but I would have bought the newest model if it was on sale anyways just for the minor upgrades.

and maybe a 1-year Glacier deal or something.
