it is 4:30am PST. the sale started 4.5 hours ago and people are acting like it is the end of the world. there is still nearly 16 hours left for this to go on.

and i personally didn't see amazon hyping this sale - i saw this thread hyping it.

is that saying much? when was the last time black friday was anything worth wasting your time on? back in like 2000?

You must have amazon stock ;)

Just hype to get more Prime members.
All deals suck or are already sold out.

Yeah....if that's what this all was I'm sorely disappointed with Amazon... :(

I feel like they really made a dangerous move into the continuation of "fake sale day's"

With that said...
Some of the deals are looking good...it's just a very very strange assortment of things.

I paid $44.00 for the LOTR trilogy a few years ago and it is $27 now

Just went through pantry sales and they suck. Nothing that can beat our price club. Granted, they do have to ship it. But if Amazon can't even match price club in a "sale", then that means I'll never buy groceries from them.

Considering the Roomba myself. I've never had one -- are they generally pretty good? I have a 2 story house and I'd want to use it upstairs - is it smart enough not to fall down the stairs?

Picked up the Roomba and Amazon Coin deal. I'm good.

That Roomba is an old model - Not saying it's not as powerful (I don't know, I don't have that one) - But I was able to get a 800 model for ~$250 at Kohls (after a 30% coupon they always have), and it came with $50 kohls cash. Take it for what you will.

I love my Roomba though, glad I don't have carpets or I might not be seeing all the damn dog hair the Roomba picks up daily. It won't fall down the stairs, that was something they programmed quite a while ago. What mine has done though is gone into small rooms like our 1/2 bathroom or pantry and basically locked itself in. It helps to keep those doors closed.

Yeah, I'd probably only really use it on carpets. I suppose I could keep it downstairs to keep the hard floors clean though. I just wouldn't want to have a bunch of those little virtual wall boxes sitting around - I don't think they would meet the WAF (wife acceptance factor).

Second a roomba. Picked up a 650 and a iRobot mopper. It's amazing how great they both are. They won't replace vacuuming but damn does it make a difference with hardwood floors and pets.

There is another 700 series Roomba on the Upcoming Prime sale list - so they definitely have more up for grabs.

The virtual walls don't seem to be too bad, I can usually find a little crevice to stick it in that won't be too bad.

I picked up the Fire Stick for $25... been curious how the voice search works, it's something that always annoys me with my Roku or SmartTV.

was really hoping there'd be a nice sale on a decent 30-40" tv, though. we need something small-ish and lightweight to wall-mount in the bedroom, since our old tv broke in the move.

This is also completely unorganized. Nothing more that I love then to have to click next *see 5 products that are stupid* click next.. click next... click next... No organization whatsoever, the most you can do is categorize.

Honestly thought they'd try to entice me into getting Prime. Pretty sure if you weren't enticed BEFORE the sale, you won't be enticed during the sale. Talk about misdirection. This was just to get people to sign up and counting on the percentage of people who forget to cancel.

Does anyone have a place where we can get live lists of upcoming products to go on sale? A list would be much fucking easier....

Not a great deal but I bought an SSD since my 2 year old 128GB C drive is filling up.
