I really hope the game lives up to the trailers. Cuz halo always has pretty good trailers, but the games never come close. Need more epic moments.
I actually wasn't impressed with the trailer for this. It doesn't really show anything and didn't build up much, just kinda hinted at the "classes". Hopefully this will be the opposite of Halo 2, where the trailer promised so much only for the game to be a pretty big letdown.
Halo got me back in to gaming, and I went to launch releases for the Xbox/Halo, Halo 2 and halo 3. I will not be doing that again, Halo single player is losing it's appeal to me, I have not liked the SP of 2 or 3. I will rent it first
Yeah, I greatly prefer Halo 1's campaign because it was very much Humans vs Covenant. It was a bit reptitive, the library sucked, and I wish the Flood had been just in the first game. It was an ok twist, but I hated that the story ended up centering around it. 2 and 3 had good parts, and were enjoyable (and 2 made a lot more sense to me playing through a second time), but I just wasn't a fan of where the story went. Just something about the atmosphere of the first game was more appealing, how it would go from isolation to decently sized battles and the open areas in many parts. I remember Bungie talking up Halo 2, and then the game just didn't live up to it. ODST seemed to introduce some nice ideas, but I don't know that it fit Halo well.
I like the new Spartans, and hopefully they'll really build that into the campaign (make it so it is co-op oriented). To me, co-op was what made Halo so fun. At the same time, Master Chief was the most appealing character to play as. I'd love to see them have separate campaigns for solo and co-op. I might be mistaken, but I believe the Master Chief was on a mission on Reach just prior and leading up to the invasion.
I am now that I know it has nothing to do with Natal. For some reason the name just made me think that there was some Natal stuff you hand to do with it.
i will be excited for it. i liked part 3 and ODST single player. i woulda loved the multiplayer as well if the maps werent terrible.
I will be as it sounds like Bungie is going back to what made the franchise appealing (Human vs Covenant), adding in class system (will be really curious how this turns out, hopefully not Brute Force badly, which is why I think they scrapped it for Halo 2), and since its their last Halo project (for now at least), they'll pull out all the stops and make the game they wanted to after Halo 1.
I've never been a big Halo multiplayer person. We played the original quite a bit and had a lot of fun, and the 2nd and 3rd were fun but I never really got into them much. Probably 50% of our play in the original heavily involved everyone would get in a warthog and then we'd just crash into each other and if you fall out try to run you over to get kills.
