What makes you think 2011 is going to be better?

2010 has been decent. Took a week long camping trip over the summer and just got back from a 3 week trip to Italy. The only thing I can complain about is being bored at work.

been a pretty dull year... will be ending it with a 2 week trip to Peru starting 12/24 through the new year to 01/08 so I'll at least be ending 2010 and starting 2011 with a bang 🙂
 
Yeah, fuck this year. Started off good...but ugh. Other people have had things worse than I have to I have to try and stay positive.
 
The middle of the year sucked (relationship disaster, uncle and grandmother died), but it's picked up in the last couple of months. 🙂
 
The more I think about 2010, the more I realize how crappy it has been.
Wife's father passed away earlier in the year. Not sure how i forgot about that.

No work for me this year, but we did some cool stuff anyway. We got a truck and 5th wheel and a lot out by the ocean. We camped all over and put 6000 miles on the truck.
I have to keep reminding myself it could be worse. ( right, Rick?)
 
It started out bad but it is ending up pretty good. Got laid off in March but I'm working again, for a great company, and my wife has been busy with real estate.

Hey, after a slow start, this has been perhaps the best year of my entire life! I just can't count all the wonderful things, and all the beautiful people around me. I've got a job, and health insurance and I get stronger every day. There are SO MANY folks who have none of these things, my heart goes out to those are going through truly tough times, hang in there!
 
My year started out shitastic but is ending up alright.

What happened in the beginning of the year:
A friend ended up with a brain tumor.
A friend ended up in the hospital a couple times and was diagnosed with COPD.
I went to the emergency room and ended up having my gall bladder removed after being on an "NPO" diet for three days.
My cat died.

What's an NPO diet?
 
yup, 2010 sucked eggs, grandfather passed away, wife had a scare, my health is giving me the fits, but worst of all, we found out last week that my 3 year old will need open heart surgery to fix ASD. I hate this year. It ranks up there with the year my mom died.
 
2010 has been good, not great. Great professionally, average personally. Hopefully we can get that up in '11.

Doctor's orders, IV drip, my pancreas had become inflamed and it took a couple days for my levels to get back down to anything resembling normal, then add a day because my surgery got bumped for someone more urgent.

But compared to a guy I've talked to a handful of times with cystic fibrosis, my trip to the hospital was a five star resort compared to his. He just about died (literally) while getting transferred between two hospitals.
 
2010 has sucked. There have been a lot of unexpected expenses (why do things always break down when it's least convenient?), and I've worked so much overtime that I have to take December off as compensation (yes, that means no overtime pay). Dealing with my asshole of a father, and the absolutely downright stupid things he does. And there's that one coworker that I always have to watch because the coworker is always looking for ways to make me look bad or get me in trouble.

Yeah, 2011 needs to be better. It needs to be a lot better.
 
Fiancee and I broke up, mostly due to her family. They're moving to Arizona.
Basically got demoted at my job to monkey work doing data entry.

All within the span of a month.

Fucking great year for me.
