Out of curiosity, I put my Jeep's make and year into google and found there were three recalls for my particular model back in 1997-2000.

How would I know if I need to bring mine in to be fixed and would I just go to any Jeep dealership to get it fixed? My fuel guage doesn't work, so I probably have that third problem on the page linked above.

When I had a Chevy, I got a recall notice in the mail about an emissions problem, w/ the notice it had a list of my local dealers to have the issue resolved :)

I think there was a recall on 2004 Honda SI's?...something about the car catching on fire?--which is exactly what happened to my brother's SI...

I owned a Ford Explorer that was recalled because of a faulty bolt in the driver's seat. I was notified, repeatedly, and each time sent a list of dealerships that could fix it for me.
My dad's Ford F-250 was recalled twice that I know of, and maybe more than that. There's always something wrong with that truck.

My Buick hasn't been recalled, though. Now that I think about it, I don't believe that any of our GM vehicles have been recalled.

So what happened? I can't imagine everyone owning a particular model being recalled getting something in the mail.

My 1996 Toyota Tacoma was recalled some years ago due to a possibly faulty head gasket..they couldn't tell whether it was bad or not on the trucks, so their only option was to pull the heads on all the trucks...probably cost them a lot of $$$.

I guess I'll be calling some dealerships next week to see if I need to bring my car in.

Nothing is fool proof though. I can imagine my parents just throwing out any recall letters I received in the trash back when I didn't have a permanent address and had to resort to having my mail delivered to their house.

Dodge sent me a mailing on the recall of my vehicle.

There was a recall for the earlier builds of the Mazda 3 for the airbag sensor... the seal on it was prone to cracking and letting in water, which would trip an error light on your dash and possibly cause the airbag not to deploy.

And yes, I got that in the mail.

In 10 years, just the one in '97 with the voltage regulator with the car's alternator.

'04 Honda Odyssey had an oil cooler added to the tranny to prevent 2nd gear premature wear. Got that in the mail about three months after I found out about the recall.

Had a recall for a defect they found in the automatic seat belt latches in the mid 90's for my Mitsubishi Mirage.

Parent's 2002 Town and Country Chrysler minivan has had about 5 part recalls.

Other than that I cannot recall any ;)

I believe there were three recalls for my '00 S2000 that were done by the previous owner and another one that was done by me.

Any recalls done on my '93 Prelude happened too far back in time for me to know about.

I have two outstanding recalls on my Trailbazer. I'm just too lazy to take it in. I figure I'll take in for something else when it breaks and have them look at the recalls too. The problem is, nothing has ever gone wrong on this car.

Hmm, 1993 Mazda 626 is oddly absent from that page! w00t!

Actually I think there was a recall a couple of years back, but I don't remember what part it was for, it got fixed by them tho.
