Who's got their H1N1 vaccine yet?

Got mine today. Last week I waited almost 4h in line to no avail. Got too tired and went back home not even having got into the first tent (they use two tents before you even enter the building at this vaccination site). Today I tried again and the whole process, from the time I arrived to when I left after having sat for 15 minutes following the injection, took one and a half hour. The new system of giving people a numbered medical bracelet sure has sped things up. Also the fact that those not in the higher-risk groups are no longer swamping the lines helps too.

The needle was so fine I felt nothing. Nurse had to try twice as me looking at her made her miss the first time. She said most people look away and that surprised her. However, my arm is now getting sore from the intramuscular deltoid injection.

Now that the government has succeeded into placing a tracker into your system things will be so much simpler....😉

I got both seasonal and H1N1 about 3-4 weeks ago. Then I got the seasonal again in another organization because I didn't have paperwork proving I had gotten it previously.

I'm in your linez stealing your antibodyz.

I refuse to get the seasonal or H1N1 shot.

I'll get the seasonal later. Was instructed to wait a couple of weeks before getting it. Was also told that getting the seasonal vaccine before the H1N1 vaccine will decrease the effectiveness of the latter.

They probably did that during my first colonoscopy a decade ago. Of course, technological advances mean those things are much smaller now. 😉

j/k:biggrin:

With all the shortages and me being in the age-group of people that will likely survive it, I'm gonna pass at the moment.

My kids' got theirs at the doctor about 2 weeks ago.
My wife got hers at work today.
I'll take my chances.

Have had the flu for almost a week, continue working. Half the people at my work have it, the other half I'm sure will get it. Company culture is to work when you're sick so this is what happens.

I got the h1n1 vaccine nasal spray last weekend. I was going to get the seasonal shot, but the doc was out of them.

Nope. And I don't plan to either. I never get a flu shot anyway (and I rarely get the flu), nor am I worried about this overhyped variation either.

Besides, I hate needles!
