So i live in southeast Michigan and we're projected to get hit with 6-10 inches of snowfall starting at 3am tonight through tomorrow evening.

If it's too bad i'll have to consider taking a snow day off. Anyone else gonna get hit by this?

Since i cut the cord I really miss the dramatic and thorough weather forecasts by local weatherman.

Looking at smartphone or radio doesn't do justice.

I don't even know of there's snow coming here in NO. Gotta check now.

Ok not a flake I'm sight all week

Temperatures here are expected to plunge into the low 70s by next week with howling sunshine.

it was 85' in my area of SoCal today. Guess I didn't need to buy those winter wheels after all...

Same. Not every snowstorm is an apocalyptic event. I mean, they happen multiple times each year; we should be used to them by now.

Nothing in the Northeast. After yesterday's snow/rain/ice and <20F temps, it's going to be 50F on Saturday with over a half inch of rain on Sunday. Why can't it just snow like a normal winter?

We're also in SE MI. Most of the schools are closed already so my wife is happy about her snow day. Boss sent out an email saying we can all work from home

Yeah, almost all the schools around here are closed tomorrow as well. My boss wants me to work tomorrow but i told him only if the roads are safe. Not risking my life or car for one day's work.

It's funny, seems to be the south that gets all the snow now. We barely even have 2 feet on the ground right now. Still lot more of winter left though. We've had years where we get most of our snow between March and end of May.

Nope, passing north of my area thankfully. We had a really messy day yesterday though with snow turning to ice turning to rain eventually. No accumulations remaining because of the rain, but the whole state was a skating rink for quite a while.

The weather people are besides themselves with joy at the Blizzard. We could get 9 feet of snow according to our hyperbolic weatherman. He is doing back flips.

BTW: The stores were packed like it's the end of the World.

How can it be cold as hell, but not at freezing point, at the same time? :p

Edit: That's weird, the F word was not censored but now it is. Edited it out... I hope hell is allowed. lol

Here in the deep south it is cold as fuck if it is around 40ish fucking degrees F.

Check your settings bud, there is some bullshit censor setting you have to check or uncheck to see fuck without the fucking censor bullshit.

I went to the gym on lunch today. Wasn't too bad but traffic was light. I'm sure if schools had been open it would be a complete shit show

They had a heck of a summer though. Sydney hit something like 35C and Penrinth hit 47C

Mateo? shouldn't winter storms have cooler, non-anthropomorphic names?

Why not call it Winter Storm ThunderHammer!

We got 6-8 inches in the NW burbs of Chicago. We were preparing for 8-14. I woke up this morning and looked outside and said "meh, may as well drive to the office. We only got a little bit."

Roads were nearly vacant, like how North Korean roads look, just the rare plow or two.

Made it to the office in record time, got almost all the lights on green, my 20 miles took around 30 minutes. There are 5 people on my floor out of like 60. I got a close parking spot 20 feet from the door.

I don't need to wait for a stinking winter storm to get hammered.

We got about 4 inches overnight in the Madison area.
