They have this for $132 but the deal ends today I think. Search slickdeals.net to find the deal.

I'm surprised with the number of people that seem to wear watches.

Really, dudes? It's 2016...
It makes sense if you're not attached by umbilical cord to your phone. Many people are though so in those cases, having a watch is redundant.

i have this problem where i need to wear SOMETHING on my right wrist at all times

otherwise, i get an overwhelming feeling that my wrist is going to get stabbed/slashed

it is impossible to ignore, so i have to wear my watch 24/7 (except for when i am taking a shower)

It is quicker and easier to just glance at your wrist to see the time vs pulling your phone out of your pocket or laptop bag or whatever, light it up and find the time on it. It is also nice not being tethered to your phone 24/7.

I tend to only use my phone for making calls or to tether my tablet to for streaming content/checking e-mails. As such, it sits at my desk most of the day so if I'm up and about I don't have it with me anyway.

I do wear my watch 24/7. Never take it off, never have to wind it or replace batteries.

Oh, the tools are in the links... I hate wearing watches/bands.

totally serious, unfortunately. i have no idea what causes it.

i would love to know if there is a way to fix it, because i also occasionally get the same feeling with my other wrist, my throat, or the middle of my chest.

it isn't easy to describe what it feels like other than an overwhelming urge to protect that area of the body by covering it up somehow (button my shirt all the way up, cross my arms, etc).

Well, I went ahead and got the black Tread. Honestly though, I got it more as jewelry than for practical reasons. I haven't worn a bracelet in decades and this seemed like a good excuse to have one. If I ever get embarrassed by my vanity I can always say that it's "functional."

For anyone who's curious, I've attached a couple of pics. I had to remove one of the links because I have such dainty wrists. So far no issues with hairs getting pulled out. The one criticism I have is the latch is flush with the links, which is good, but so much so that it's hard to find just by touch.

It only weighs about 6 ounces but when you first put it on, it feels a lot heavier. On the plus side, you adapt to the weight very quickly - less than a day.

I wonder why the stainless version is only $165/each on Amazon.
There IS a difference but I'm not sure it's worth the extra 50 bucks. I saw someplace that the black one has DLC finish which, it turns out means 'diamond like carbon.'

If you check the wiki for that, it's pretty interesting. But again, probably not worth 50 bucks.

I was seriously looking at the stainless only version but my aesthetic sense generally leans toward black.

Interesting concept...but can it screw in tight areas?
If you're serious, yes, that's a problem. But you can get a bit extender to use with it. I think it uses the same one as other Leatherman products but I'm not positive. You'd have to carry the extension and bits around or clip them to your belt, but you do have options.

Enjoy. I wouldn't mind seeing an update after awhile describing how practical it is using it as a tool.

Saw that on a junk site some time ago. Looked silly. I clicked on another product and forgot about.

Sure, but as I mentioned earlier, I got it mainly as jewelry. I have used the bottle open already though - 5/7 :)
