Who's going to Roger Waters "The Wall" Live

2012 will be either his second or third year doing The Wall Live tour and he's finally coming to Nashville a mere 1hr drive for me. Me and 2 guys from work got some sweet tickets from a presale on his website. Worst part is that the concert isn't till June. I find myself at almost 1am listening to the Wall, can't wait for the concert and the after party in Downtown Nashville.

We ended up getting about the best seat for the money you can get. We're section 117, 8th row. It was about $100 per ticket. Section 116 right next to us is $200 seats and the seats right in front of us (floor) are $200. Will be a good feeling to know we could spit in two directions and hit people paying twice what we did.

I will be seeing it again, row 21 on the floor. Been a busy few months for concerts, saw the eagles in Vegas a month or so ago. Here in Vegas tonight and I got to see bob Seger, row 7 on the floor right smack in the middle. Awsome show btw..

That's a great price IMHO.

I wish I was going but on the other hand don't really want to deal with 60,000 people at the Coliseum. Large venue of course means bigger spectacle but not my scene.

The coliseum is beautiful and a MUCH better outdoor venue than say, angel/dodger stadium...

I'm gonna take the metro to the Coliseum, check out this new expo expansion 🙂

I saw the Rolling Stones at Angel's Stadium 10 years ago. Agreed not the best venue but at least it wasn't a clusterfuck getting in and out of there. Metro would be an option to get to the Coliseum...except I'm weary about riding the Red Line that late. I've heard stories....

Meh, no more dangerous than anything else in LA.

I know some die hard fans who really love their music. One guy is 49 if that matters.

They attended the SF show last Friday.

They said it was a joke of a performance, was way too polished, felt Waters lip-synced the whole show as well.

They mentioned his ego got in the way as it was a showcase of him declaring how great he was over and over again.

Reviewers were positively gushing though, from a performance stand point it was excellent they said but could not help but laugh at the theatrics.

WTF is up with paying all that money to see people as old as your parents sing the same songs they have sung for the last few decades?

even though i still listen to rock, money wise i lost all respect for bands i listened to as a kid when Ozzy was invited to the white house. it started when bruce dickinson got a job as an airline pilot of all things, but ozzy being invited to the white house did it.

it was cool when my parents hated this stuff, but now these people are old

Hopefully Roger won't be singing, his voice is terrible. He usually hires some decent vocalists to tour with him. 😀

The stage show is truly impressive and it's hard to get a feel for the scale of the wall that they build on video. Also, for younger people, this will probably be the last time they get to see an icon of rock in person.

He has the money to go back around and do it right so I'm interested in the production value.

really, the wall is one of my least favorite PF albums but everything I've heard about the production value of the show makes me want to go.

20 rigs full of equipment!!!

The fact remains that the music these artists made stands the test of time. It doesn't really matter if they've "sold out" or whatever. The music doesn't change and these old farts can still put on a great show.

At the ripe age of 30 some of the concerts I've attended include Rush, Tom Petty, The Rolling Stones, Santana (pre Supernatural), Black Sabbath, The Police, AC/DC, The Eagles. Its all about the music.

Saw it last year... Im also not a big fan of the old watching old guys sing (and Roger DOES sing most of the way throughout), but the production values are indeed amazing... The airplane crash in particular is the best possible way to start it off 😛
