Who's fault is it?

It depends where you put it on the floor. Right in the middle of a common walkway or off to the side somewhere?
 
Your fault. The other person has no reasonable belief that he needs to watch the floor because some idiot might have put his drink there.

If you put your drink anywhere on the floor, you must warn all in the house of where it's at. If they then kick it it's their fault. If they didn't know then it's your fault because who puts a fucking cup on the fucking floor?
 
I don't know if you were expecting a 50/50 split, but the floor is not a suitable place for a drink. Now a bong on the otherhand...
 
depends on whos house it is. whoever livees there has automatic immunnity. if its neithers house, its the guy that put it on the floor.
 
It is beneath me to lay blame, but so is the floor, so if I must, I blame the floor.

I've knocked over MY OWN drink on the floor, but then subsequently got laid, so it was all good in my mind. 😛

If people are sitting around on the floor because there isn't enough space on a couch and people have drinks...

If the op was on a couch and put the drink on the floor instead of a coffee table, then he is responsible. If it is something more like the former, the person walking should have been more careful in watching out for beverages.
