Batman hands down. At the beginning of the day superman goes to his little apartment. At the beginning of batman's day he goes to a mansion. I wonder how he finds the time to manage all these things.
 
Batman- he's flawed, imperfect, and that makes for a good hero.

Superman is invunerable and idealistic- something we all strive for but not very interesting when you achieve it. I know they "wimped" him up a little bit lately to make for better stories, but Bats has him beat by a mile 🙂

She always had an "invisible jet" to fly in, but they changed that in the early 90's when they remade the character.

The invisible jet is just one more reason wonder woman totally sucks.
 
I've always liked Batman more (possibly most). I like that he has such a dark past, that he's so...human. And that the comic was written pretty dark as well. The Dark Knight chronicles were awesome.

That said, did anyone ever read Eastman & Laird's actual comics of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. They're some of the best comics I've read. Graphic, dark (but not without some humour/lightness), well written, fantastic B&W art.

That was a hold over from WWII when she was fighting Nazis 🙂 They remade her to fly now- she's more like a female Superman these days.

Batman does fight dirty sometimes, but thats because he's smart. If he fought clean against all those bad guys with super powers when he has none, he'd get his clock cleaned.

I still don't think he could beat superman though, unless he had some kyrptonite, then super would get totally whomped. Without his powers, superman is a huge pussy.

well, im a bit of a comic book nerd. so...without actually listing issues like a jackass, i will simply say that every time they have a big "superman/batman" battle, batman ends up winning. its mostly becuase the writers are like "well, superman is a sure thing..so...we'll have batman win"
anyway, you are right. its always due to some intense kryptonite stock he keeps in his good old utility belt. also: half the time superman doesnt know batman is coming after him. i remember one where batman organized all sups old allies against him.
im sure there is a bigger comic book nerd around here that can prove me wrong about the "every time" bit but...eh, you get the idea.

heh im a bit of a comic book nerd myself (though dislike DC but batman does kick ass). Every (nearly) time they had a batman VS superman, Batman kicked his ass. The one time i can think of is the story line where gothem is taken over and batman and superman are old. Superman *kills* batman though batman let him so he can hide.

I always enjoyed batman. I just wish they would have made him darker and meaner.
 
Morpheus from Neil Gaiman's the "Sandman" is by far the best character ever.

But between Batman and Superman, i'll take Batman. Superman is so goody-goody he seems pu$$y whipped.
 
though i did enjoy it when they had the DC, Marvel merge. Where batman and Wolverine were one person. heh not that being would kick everyones ass not care.
 
I would so choose Batman. The color Superman wears seems like such a wimp or too Patriotic. You only fear Superman cuz of his strength not the way he looks now Batman you fear him either way.
