who's CHINNY? damn he's haulin a**...

Chinny is Chintan on the Forums. See thread entitled "any reason why i jumped 100 WU's in 3 hours?" That will give you some background.

He has gone from 250+ WU's to over 1,000 in just one week. That would be fine IF the WU's are being properly analyzed!
 
Chinny had some overclocking problems that caused wu's to be sent out and counted without fully processing them. That's why the big jump occured. The problem was reported to seti and all is fine now (so the thread says). Chinny does seem to have an impressive herd though since the output is still good.
 
the WU's are being properly analyzed. In that thread "any reason why i jumped 100 WU's in 3 hours?" i updated the team on what's going on. Basically, I stopped running SETI on that one overclocked computer and will go home today and see if its still messing up.

As for the rest of the herd, (about 95%) of the computers will be down b/c my friends are packing them up to move into college this weekend.

I've contacted SETI and told them the deal, but they have had no response for me. I hope that this isn't going to 'cause problems, 'cause then... well then... there's gonna be trouble 🙁

I stated my herd, and according to Hellburner, that stats seem fine. SETI is important to all of us, so I want to make sure its working fine. Sorry about any worries or problems team.

I am planning on adding 3 more PIII 600's with RAMBUS to the herd in the coming week. And then when i get to school, everyone on my floor will run SETI for me, and everyone else i meet. (we WILL outproduce!!)

I'm sure since you contacted seti and it wasn't intentional then everything will be fine.🙂

BTW my friends won't run seti for me. Shows what kind of friends they really are.🙁
 
Chintan - too bad it's not accurate. we REALLY could've used that much computing power. pretty good idea - getting everyone on your floor to run seti.
 
SETI knows about the problem... but we WILL have that much computing power back. Today everyone is shutting down their comps to pack them up, but when school starts next week... oh boy... its over!!! TA will rock!!! (i just need a lil time to convince everyone) 🙂

If we just had a few more big hitters like chintan TA would really start to climb. When the rest of our big guns can get all there recent problems fixed look out!!🙂

Has anyone heard anything out of Joker? His quick climb has come to a halt for some reason and no one knows why.
