Who's bored of HL2? Am I the only one?

HL2 was awesome the first couple days, but I got bored of it over turkey break (completed the game in about a week). So I started to try out CS:source and it was no fun (no respawning during matches?). Are there any beta mods available yet? (this engine has so much potential)



O well, back to Desert Combat till mod for HL2 or BF:vietnam shows up.

So there are rounds.😀 This game feels just like the original CS, thats prolly why I don't like it (never really enjoyed the CS, but loved original HL).


I'm so use to Unreal2k4/BF=DesertCombat.
 
Wel, I just got my copy today, and I've been hooked pretty much since it was installed. I'm on that freakin air boat now and it's a freakin blast flying through all these canals and tunnels...

I guess if you dont like the round based play of CS you wont like CS:Source. Personally I like it alot more than respawning. But if respawning is your thing they have CS deathmatch.
 
I'm on my second time around... played it on normal before, and I'm at City 17 playing on hard. Can't get enough of it... BTW HARD is just that, not so much durring the beginning but at city 17 its impossible. blech. I really like CS:S also remember that CS:S is not CounterStrike 2 it is Counterstrike on the Source engine. So CounterStrike 2 will be awesome.
 
I never really enjoyed the origional CS that much but CS:S is so captivating. Maybe it's the physics and the graphics that makes killing just that much more interesting. Plus having no lag probably contributes to the feeling.
 
Really, I agree. I finished the single player (which rocked) but the multiplayer is balls. CS:Source brings nothing new to the table except prettier graphics. I'm just as bored of CS now as I was three years ago. Saying one has ADD because they got tired of multiplayer that was available to the public 3-4 years ago is a bit silly. Even if the game had shipped w/ a new HLDM, it would have been cool, simply for the nostaigia factor.

The point of CS:S was simply to build on the graphics, they made a point to keep the gameplay and tempo as similar as possible.

Dont forget, kiddies, Valve is releasing a patch for HL2 sometime this week with "a little surprise" for us. I'm thinking vanilla HL2DM. 😀

We had my computer hooked up to a big HDTV this past weekend at a LAN party, and all my friends there were instantly hooked on HL2.

I never did the "preloads", I just bought the game over Steam on the 16th...
