Who's beta testing WoW right now?

I have an Athlon XP 1900+ 512MB w/ a Geforce 4 Ti4200. Should I bother installing, or do I need to upgrade.

A friend of mine has an account, but he quit due to "addiction". He's got an up to date P4/Radeon though.

The last time I've used my machine for games was for Rainbow 6 3 and Shadowbane.

Install it. I'm running a T-bird 1.2Ghz on a KT266A board, 1024MB PC2100 RAM, and a ATI 9600 Pro without any problems.

It will run just fine. Since when has Blizzard released a game that you couldn't run on a 5 yr old machine?

Excellent, this is the stuff I wanted to hear. I was already researching machines/video cards and stressing out. I have already installed it on my machine remotely from here at work.. Now I can't wait to get home!

BTW, if you do upgrade I'll be interested in buying the 4200. I have a lame geforce 2 mx on an old pc i hardly ever use and could always throw it in that machine.

Excellent, the default settings are silky smooth. I didn't get to logon until this morning. I only ran around for about 10 seconds to get the feel for it. It ran perfectly, no upgrade needed!

I just hope it can run it at 1280x1024 just as well... I wish I had time to play this game, it looks great!

How do people have time to play these games? Does anyone here work 40+ hours a week, have a wife/gf, and have time to play video games?

Yup, I don't really have time to play those games anymore. That's one reason I'm looking forward to Guild Wars. It's massive but it's pretty much instant action. Think Diablo but w/ a lot more people in the world at once.

I'm playing in 1280x1024 with full details and it's beautiful. Blizzard has ALWAYS aimed lower than higher in their requirements department, you'll almost definately be able to play with your computer.

Yes I work 40+ hours a week plus I work 10-15 hours at my business, have a wife and three children, and I play computer games about 4-6 hours a week.

Do any of you guys happen to have any video captures of your gaming experience? I wasn't sure if there was a record mode like Shadowbane featured.

TOS won't allow posting any in-game videos right now, but Yahoo has a very good trailer on their website.
