Who's BBQing this weekend, and what are you grilling?

SSSnail

Lifer
Gonna do some Korean BBQs, maybe some steaks and hot sausage, grilled veggies, kimchi and stuffs. Yum yum.

Can you smell, what the sssnail is cooking?

my parents are bbq'ing today, but I'm at work till 6 and they never bbq anything interesting anyways (just burgers that I don't really cook and chicken that's inevitably dried out to hell)

grilled yesterday. lobster with basil lime/lemon butter (not really sure what these fruit are, they're green but large lemon sized, kinda taste like both)

Had a big BBQ on Saturday with friends.

Puerto Rican rice - green olives & sausage
Spicy grilled corn with red & yellow bell peppers, red onions, and roasted anaheim chiles
Zucchini with red onion and peppered bacon
St. Louis cut pork ribs with a double glaze
Tri Tip - medium rare
Hebrew National hot dogs
chicken breasts marinated in red onion, cilantro, and lime juice

To drink:
Milagro margaritas
Blue Moon & orange slices
Michelob Ultra Amber
Coke

hamburgers, brats, italian sausages. my MIL is bringing some steak. dunno what else is going to be out by the community pool. beer+grilling=happy funkymatt

Puerto Rican rice = arroz con gandules, not green olives & sausage 😛

I have a nice carburetor sized hunk of beef I made into a Russian stew. I call it Bulk Bullion Borscht.

well, since BBQing involves anywhere between 6-12-24+ hours of slooooooow cooking, usually with smoke, and almost always with portk, I'm not surprised that the chicken would be dry, if done improperly.

I've never heard of anyone trying to BBQ burgers, that's ridiculous.

Sounds like they're grilling.

😀

BBQing /= grilling

What's the difference? I toss some stuffs on the BBQ grill, heat comes up, stuffs are cooked, I eat.

see above.

a grill is a grill. you can't BBQ hamburgers/hotdogs, etc. ...at least not to any degree of success.

Ohh oohhh... I'm gonna toss some jumbo shrimps on the barbie as well. And Zinfamous, too much technicality man. Meat, fire, uhh uhh huhh.

I smoked some boston butts! Flavor turned out great but I had some temperature control problems so they didn't quite cook enough to shred properly.

I'll never get you straights and your meat 😉

if it's cooked on something vaguely similar to http://cfyprograms.files.wordpress.com/2009/08/bbq.jpg it's bbq in my mind.

That's a real Lime... you're probably used to seeing Key Limes all over Houston which are tiny.
