Oh how I miss the McDLT from McDonald's! "Keep the hot side hot and the cool side cool." Those of you who don't remember the year 1985 won't have a darn clue what the McDLT was--and that is a travesty! Sigh, enough trippin' down McDLT lane... :(
Now they call it the Big & Tasty ;)

Darn all of you!! I shouldn't have opened this thread! I'm in school at 9:15AM, and don't get out until 1pm... Of course I didn't have time to eat breakfast this morning... now I'm sitting here drooling all over my keyboard and listening to my stomach growl... I bet Atlanta is the same old $2 for a whopper or whatever it always is... Oh well, I have a feeling that even if it is, I'll be getting mine this afternoon!

I don't like Checkers that much, but their apple pies are good. About 10 years ago there was a burger chain here call Ralley's that was frickin awsome.

For those of us in Athens and Atlanta the Varsity is good, especially the Frosted Orange drink. ;)

Big and tasty is NOT the same.. they actually kept it in separate sections. Was it THAT long ago? Damn.. I feel like I'm almost ready for Viagra

Im all about the Star from Carl's JR. until they changed the price to 1.29 here in pdx.. I love Carls Jr, heck the one near my house has a sunday special where any combo meal 1-6 (incl the chix and super star with chees) are 2.99. Crazy!

On another note all my friends and I would always go on "whopper runs" in highschool about 4 years ago, twas a sad day when they dropped the 99 cent thing 3 years ago here.. Now its like 2.50 or something, something totally ridiculous that makes you only buy the combo meal.

Oh and one other thing, we used whoppers as currency.. meaning "what? you could get like 12 whoppers for that price"
:p

No go on the 99c whoppers here in Arlington VA. The "manager" said that it would be on in January. Um, yeah, sure. I trust you.

It's just sad that Carl's Jr. only gets a single passing mention. They are IMHO the best quality burgers on the market. And for those of us who like a big burger, we don't have to buy 2. There are at lest 4 huge burgers to choose from. Yes, the regular fries suck the big one, but the crisscut fries with house dressing are the Bomb!! Fried zuccini aint bad either. They are prolly the closest to real food that you can get from a fast food chain.

Not to mention that some of them also have the Green Burrito store included for that Mexican binge.

HERE HERE for carls jr!
also hardees on the east coast for all yoos who dont know.

best cheap burgers around, and they aint afraid to toss in coupons so you can get buy one/ get one free..
its always so empty its sad. people really need to support them
btw the fries are actually good now, taste like mcds, i always avoided them like the plague until i was forced to get a combo meal, but tey really are better now!

so sad that the carls jrs parking lot is taken sometimes by mcd-ers next door. mcds is so gross cept for the fries..
hell it practically costs as much now and they only just now instituted a dollar menu.

i actually think wendy's makes the best burgers. the jr. bacon cheeseburger is the best reguarly priced 99 cent sandwich imho. the whopper is a pretting "flaming" hot deal though. =)
