Sorry guys. Several of you asked me about my take on creatine. I fscked up. I was just thinking about it...and realized that I had told you all that it was something that made your heart rate increase...I'm wrong. I knew what it really is, but I got it confused with another thing which I can't remember what it's called.

Here is what Creatine REALLY does:

It makes your muscles retain water. Muscle is made up of an amazingly high amount of water as it is, so when you take creatine, it increases your muscle mass. Then it "drains". Kind of "blow up" drug which inflated your muscle then goes away. It isn't a miracle drug to give you mega muscles without damaging your body. It's just a thing which "makes your muscles thirsty", and makes them hold water in. For a period of time.

Also, there may be a few side-effects which you may want to look into. I forget them at the time, but if you plan on using it...well, look it up.

That's all!

I think one S.E. is you will get dehydrated if you do not intake enough water. (Anyone who works out anyway should get ~gallon of water a day)

That's it! I knew there as something. The muscles suck up all your excess water and leave you dry. Then you'll have to drink so much water that you'll fell like an ever-flushing toilet.

Creatine, is more like the chemical form of what your muscle uses to contract when pulling or pushing weights.
When u take it ur muscle or the blood in ur muscle has more of this energy therefor can contract more times in a set without failure.
Therefor ur muscle grows because it is forced to do more work. Some side effects are fluid retention.

In theory, it should work.
It does something like rebind ATP to myosin.
In fact, it probably is the only OTC muscle building enhancer type supplement that shoulod work over eating a balanced diet.

Actually, this is secondary effect as someone mentioned before. Creatine Monophosphate(the form in which creatine is found in) can be used as a secondary source of energy in your muscles. If you take more in, the more 'backup energy' youll have allowing you to work youre muscles harder and longer. Im unsure of the exact biochemical explanation of the water gain, but will look it up.

In short:
Phosphate==ATP==Energy==buffness in no time ;)

btw, ive taken creatine before, and i got excellent results. My bench press went from 150 to 200 in about a month and a half with working out 4 times a week.
