ok, so I was pretty much modifying my computer's dll by replacing them w/ differnt ones..........and for all I know, whatever dll I changed in the "system32" folder, my "dllcache" folder has to have that same dll too.

well, while I was changine the dll in my "dllcache" folder, I was forced to restart my computer, so in the end, my "uxtheme.dll" in my "system32" folder and my "uxtheme.dll" in my "dllcache" folder aren't the same.

now, my computer boots, but doesn't go to windows. Is there Anyway to plug that dll(in either folder) back in, even though I can't go to windows? I have the dll file, and can burn it to a CD........

this will be on winxp pro

The only .DLL file I can see replacing or modifying would be the uxtheme.dll. In that case, all he needed to do is start in safe mode to begin with, rename the original uxtheme.dll to uxtheme.old and then put the hacked uxtheme.dll file in there. Restart and then done. Then you can use any theme from themexp.org or anyone else for that matter. Messing with any other .dll's is asking for problens.
