Ars doesn't often do PC hardware reviews, it's mostly software, games and gadgets. When they do a CPU article it's focused on the architechure rather than performance testing.

Ars + AT = one good hardware & software review source.

Seconded. The news feed on Ars is great. They cover more things and faster than DailyTech.

Tom's is good on occasion just for a quick, on the surface comparisons as long as you keep it's bias in mind. So no cross comparison, i.e. AMD v INTEL or NVidia v ATI. but comparisons within a company are good... ie 7800 v 7900 v 8800 or E6600 v Q6600.

don't really frequent HardOCP...

I think they've all been pretty bad with reviewing the latest and greatest. Any time I look for a review of something I see the last review done in that category was a few months old. I guess I should only be interested in graphics cards!

I honestly still like AT the best for all my hardware reviews. I've been a fan of the site since around 98, though I was aware and had visited the site back when Anand hosted it on Geocities in 1997.
Other sites where I really like the hardware reviews: silentpcreview.com, techreport.com, hothardware.com, pcstats.com.
techreport, hothardware, and pcstats are kinda generic looking to me, but the quality of the reviews looks decent enough.

I USED to be a big fan of Thresh's Firing Squad and Sharky Extreme, but they both started to suck after they sold out and decided to write 50 page reviews just so they could push more ads. I used to like hardOCP as well, but over the last 5 or 6 years, I've stopped visiting that site.
