this is just a small example of sharon's heoric acts

But his triumph was not warmly welcomed in the Arab world -- particularly among Palestinians -- for his role in the 1982 massacre in the Sabra and Shatila Palestinian refugee camps during the Israeli invasion of Lebanon. CNN

more than 300 women and children were killed ill try to find some pics, and this happened in a single hour

Every wonder why the Israelis went into Lebanon

Palestine Monitor, a Palestinian NGO, has come up with an accurate overview of the number of Palestinians killed in the four year period. According to its figures, 3334 people were killed by Israeli soldiers, police or settlers, 82 per cent civilians. Israeli troops killed 621 children under the age of 17 ?411 with rubber bullets and 200 with life ammunition? with another 10,000 wounded.

Figures for Israeli casualties come from B?Tselem, an Israeli human rights group. Of the more than 1,000 Israelis killed, 635 were civilians (63.5%) including 110 children who died in attacks that targeted civilians

refrence http://www.asianews.it/view.php?l=en&art=1576

please compare those numbers and tell me who is killing who!!!!!

Ever ask how the civilians are deliniated.
Many of the militants act like civilians and hide amoung them.
Do the Israelis use children < 18 to strap on bombs?

Both sides are wrong but ya know things COULD have been played out a bit more tactfully invading a foreign peoples land to settle it you know? Bullying a indigenous people is pretty chickenshit in the same way as what happened to the israelis in WW2.
They have now become the opressors now in some sick way they have been taught.

You may wish to look closely at your history.
I believe it was the surround Arab States with the assistance of the Palentinian Arabs that have been doing most of the attacking and did the initially occupying after the British pulled out.

If you really reviewed the security's council resolutions you?ll clearly see that resolution 242 asks Israel to withdraw from all the lands occupied by 1967. did Israel comply? NO so not tactics here haa?

Had they withdrawn then the next attack in 73 would have destroyed Israel. That is what the Arabs were pushing for.

The resolution 242 did not generate any protection for Israel. It was aquistance to the Arab states who had gotten their buts spanked again after launchign another attack against Israel.

Within hours of Arafat?s death, militants from his Fatah movement attacked a Jewish settlement in Gaza in what they said signalled the start of a new round of clashes with Israel. Soldiers killed three Palestinians, at least two of them gunmen.

Seems like the truce that existed while Arafat was in the hospital has expired.
The militants do not want peace.

If both sides would just disappear the world would be a much better place!

That said, Arafat was an asshole and Sharon is an asshole. At least Arafat had the good graces to die!

False. Re-read.

Let me add goldstein to the list. And they wanted to make a memorial for his heroic efforts.

From Sultan's perspective, anyone that opposes his ideas are not innocents, no matter what the age, location, occupation, etc.

You have to be for me, if not then you must be against me.

terrorism n.
The unlawful use or threatened use of force or violence by a person or an organized group against people or property with the intention of intimidating or coercing societies or governments, often for ideological or political reasons.

Blowing up innocents via suicide bombers is terrorism. Its only an attempt to create change through fear. The palestinians should have taken a lesson from Martin Luther King, and practiced non-violent protest. Maybe thier image in the international community wouldnt be so shot. I'd bet they would be free today had they not chosen suicide bombings as thier preferred method of protest.

Terrorism can never be appeased, regardless of the validity of its cause.

So Arafat is innocent then? As bad as Christian Fund A Mental Cases are you Islamic whackos take the cake. You probably believe that killing innocent children is OK as long as they are Jewish or Western.

i'm glad i don't understand the rest of the world. how can people foster so much hate? religion is a stupid thing to fight over, and desert property ranks a close second.

Y'know, when you drill down to the core of the thing, it isn't even religion. It is simple lust for power and wealth in a few rabble-rousers like Arafat. They send the young and stupid out to sacrifice what they won't for the illusionary cause. You see any old Mullahs blowing themselves up for the cause? Anyone here notice the news reports about Arafat?s wealth? How much Palestinian pain would that have cured? My guess is that he will answer for his misuse of Islam on the other side of the void.
