Whoever has seen I am Legend.....

I thought right after was kinda sad actually, he goes crazy from lack of human contact, forgets that should be careful and steps in that stupid trap.

But him shooting the dummy was pretty funny...😛

Yep.

If the vampires could set a trap that sophisticated you would think they would have caught him much sooner. Booby-trap the movie rental store.

heh thought it was funny he was scared to talk to the dummy lady that was in the "adult" section of the dvd store he goes too....

Nice scene! 🙂

I wonder how much Apple gave to the movie producers to have so many Apple products in the film. 😕

Fred just got up and walked over there

 The vampires set him up; a "booby-trap" if you will

I think he set the trapped himself moving fred to that spot, maybe days before but he forgot that he did. He's becoming delusional because being alone is getting to him, you can see it in his face.

And the vampire with his dogs just happen to wait by the trap?

yeah the zombie guys started learning Neville's tricks and used the same trap on him.

the CREEPIEST part of that movie was when he encounters the sleeping mutant guys in that house. total silent hill-esque moment. gave me the jibblies.

I never got how his head turns when they first show him in that scene...

Wind.

My take on it is that he's becoming delusional after being alone for so long that in his mind he saw the dummy turn his head. That's why he went over there and went all ape-shit asking if he was alive, etc.

they didn't show up until it got dark...Who knows who set the trap

they didn't do a good job explaining this scene in the movie.

will smith encounters that badass zombie exposing himself to sunlight.
will smith is documenting his findings on camera and explains that the zombies have lost any semblance of humanity and are operating below basic survival reasoning
now all of a sudden the zombie is capable of setting a trap for him?
- when did they see him at the video store? how? he went there during the daytime. were they nearby and awake?

other than that, i loved the movie

yea, that was a rather sad scene actually

He set the trap like he's set traps around the city before. He's been going crazy and didn't remember that he set the trap. It's kind of hard to interpret because it is not true to the book...

Does anyone know why he was covering his gun flashlight with his hand and then removing it a bunch of times when he was in that warehouse?

My thinking was the the vampires try and avoid light like roaches when you turn on a kitchen light. So to catch them he would have to surprise them. A better question would be why he didn't have night vision.

An even better question is why didn't he hole up in a more secure location.

I think it should be fairly obvious that the zombie set the trap. Which is why he was waiting. It should also be obvious that Wills character simply was wrong about the social behaviour of the zombies.

so they wouldnt see him. they can still see in light. flashlights don't emit strong uv so they wouldnt get burned. its only the sun or strong uv bulbs that hurts them.

he set the trap but the monsters must have figured out the trap was there and placed the mannequin there to screw with him.

it was a good movie but felt so tried from all the previous Romero, Resident Evil, and 28 flicks.

there was a line of light that would have burnt them.

As far as the zombie trap vs. Neville trap, I at first thought it was a trap he had left himself and gone crazy and forgotten about. Given the previous statement about zombies being stupid and the fact he's clearly gone off the deep end there, I found it very plausible, and in a sense, very powerful. It illustrated just how long he had been alone, just how crazy he had gone. Now, I realize it was the retarded fucking Hollywood types with their desire for a single powerful antagonist, the alpha-zombie (or vampire) trying to make a real nemesis, while in reality, diluting the seriously scary and powerful idea of the mindless horde. Going one up on 28 days later zombies by having smart zombies = teh suck
