Whoah, just performed a maneuver worthy of a Hollywood stuntman ;)

Hehe, it's been raining this morning so traffic was a little slower than usual. So I arrive on campus a little later than usual. I get close to Varsity (Park & Ride) and I see the bus sitting their in the pull-off area (to the right) waiting for people.

I gun it and get to the greenlight and swing a hard left on down the strip. As I get closer to the bus, it starts to pull off, so I gun it again.

The bus driver sees me coming, so he stops. I come up to a curve which swings to left and that right after the turn is the opening for the parking lot. Well, with the roads being damp I hit the curve doing about 30MPH and (of course) hit the breaks. At about that time the car oversteers and the the ABS kicks in. The car makes a sharp turn to the left into the parking area as the whole backend goes flying right (all admist screaching tire sounds). I overcorrect by swinging the wheel back to the right and the car flings itself back to the right dead center into a parking space. Perfect spacing on both sides

I gather my things from the back seat (Twinkie included) and run to the bus. The bus driver tells me "Nice job" as he had been watching the whole thing out the side window

ya gotta love when things actually work. Had it been me, the driver would have said 'nice job' also, but probably sarcastically as I pulled out from under the ass end of the bus........

Best move I ever saw:

My friend and I were driving in his new Probe, when we ran into a group of &quot;urbanized&quot; youths walking through my old neighborhood. They were walking down the road, and one tried to through a peice of an old tire at my friend's car. He slammed on the breaks and came to a stop about 7 or 8 carlenghts past them. One of the kids behind us yelled something and threw a rock at the rear windshield.

At that point, my friend lost it... He threw the car into reverse and gunned the engine. I laughed as I watched the pack of wanna-be gangstas scrambling off the road and over a fence, but their &quot;leader&quot; just stood there in the path of the car. My friend pulled the emergency break and turned the wheel all the way to the right. His front tires were on soft dirt, and the car did a complete 180 and came to rest with the front bumper barely six inches from the kid's legs. We jumped out of the car; my friend armed with a bat and me with a mag light.

Only time in my life I ever saw someone loose control of his bladder due to fear... I still laugh my ass off every single time I think about it.
