No idea on the OS, but i used the software included with the HP which at the time was one of the original EZ Cd Creators (when it was owned by Adaptec).

I think I saved mine and have it in a spindle some where. That was only from like '99 or2000 though......I was too poor to get one before that 😀

I paid $600 for my 2x/2x Smart and Friendly (Sony OEM) SCSI CD-R back in early '94.

I was ready to pay $900.

Oh, and blank CDs were around $10 each back then. I believe the first disc I ever burned was a music CD of various punk rock songs, which I still have.

Hey, I had that same burner! And then I upgraded to the 400i or something; the 4x burner. I was the fastest guy on the block!

MD.

The first one I remember using was at school in 97. It was a 2x external SCSI writer and it would only write to CD-Rs. It also wouldn't read regular pressed CD-ROMs.

I remember sitting there through the 30 min burn for my first mp3 cd. Actually got some homework done during that time. 😛

Anyways, I still think I have that cd around somewhere. It had some classic songs on it.

The first cd i ever burnt was in the microwave. Needless to say I didn't save it. It was an aol cd.
