Any of you guys been reading the stuff about them at ResellerRatings? A sample from the latest comment:

<< Well Larry, who?s the big-shot now? I guess you might get the chance to test the ?veil? incorporation offers individual owners and corporate officers you bragged to me about. Unfortunately, they do not shield fraud or theft. Maybe I can call you in jail and you can hang up on me there, too. Maybe now you will prefer phone-tag if it gets you out of some butt-tag. Or, maybe not. Not that there?s anything wrong with that. >>

I knew these guys were dicks from a customer service standpoint, but I had no idea they were also thieves.

I must actually be one of the more fortunate people on earth in regards to dealing with Dynasty Express.

In early May, I ordered 2xAbit SE6 motherboards, 1xAsus P3C-D, 2xAsus K7M, 1xTyan Tomahawk BX, 1xAfreey DVD, 1xCeleron 800, 1xTekram Slotket from them. Over 500 bucks. All arrived OK. The motherboard is in the wife's computer. I've sold everything else already except for the slotket and the P3C-D, which runs fine.

From reading Reseller Ratings, there are a whole bunch of angry people. Can't blame them one bit. I must admit that of about $9,000 worth of business with them over a three year period, I received everything. And all but one CD-ROM worked fine. Which they RMA'd an exchange for.

Man am I lucky. :)

Is 3DCool still around? I remember hearing stories about them even when they first came around...

I got gibbed from Dynasty Express also. Back in the Asus P3C-2000 days, I got one from them. Due to the MTH issue, I sent them back the board and supposingly got a refund to my credit card. It's been over a year now and I still haven't seen my $145 bucks back. And it seems like I won't be able contact them in the future.

Besides hoping for a lightning stuck open their skull, I don't know what other things I can do.

I cannot count the times I went to their site in anticipation of ordering a piece of hardware, only to open a new browser window and look elsewhere. I never did purchase from them. Whew... gooud luck to all those who got boned.

Why does anyone send hard drives back to the vendor and not the manufacturer?

When I was buying parts for this system I considered ordering something from them. But after checking reseller ratings and the message boards at pricewatch, I chose against it.

Too bad pricewatch lost their spine and took down the message boards. I imagine the vendors complained because their bad service was coming to the forefront.

Oh well, that is interesting. ;)
