Mark, I had GTE/Verizon before. I've got Roseville Telephone service here. I know some of you guys are faster, but for me this feels like someone put a v-8 in a Pinto. I can like this for a while. The funny thing is, the guy did a speed check on their site with his laptop he brings with. When it first hooked up, it only did about 36, then he just made a phone call and told them to turn it up. They never would do anything like that with GTE, they basically hooked it up and said "See ya".

I hate to brag ;)

but i can usually exceed 400kilobytes per second download and 140k per second upload with my dsl

Got SWBELL DSL, great service, 40$/month for 384-1.5 down, usually average 80-150 k/sec...

My friend said he is getting broadband here soon, for only 60$/month it's advertised as 11 megabits/sec
