Do not waste your cash.
Buy a real kit with real ingredients that are fresh and have not been in a box for god knows how long.

Oh good god. That stuff is AWFUL. Someone was passing it around in 40oz bottles at my friend's graduation party a while back. *barf* I'm thinking that OE trumps that stuff. Or mabye he didn't let it age.

You're supposed to wash the pot you boil the water in, the plastic beer keg, and the bottles with soap. Then you're supposed to rinse them using a special sterilizing solution (and NOT rinsing that off). After the beer ages/ferments in the big ol' plastic fake keg, you'll almost always get silt or sediment at the bottom and you're not supposed to let it sit in the keg forever. It's only supposed to sit in the keg to furment and that's it. You then fill the individual bottles and clean the keg.

The taste will also very GREATLY depending on the water used. Tap water will taste like what piss smells like. Filter the water using a Brita water filter or something like that and you'll have awesome beer. :)
