the officer pictured would have been in better shape had there been no police car . . . it looks like bits and peices of that Crown Vic are what knocked him down . . the white POS woulda just hit the rail and missed having anything hit the officer at all.
 
I've seen that motorcycle one before, I just wish I had a cap of something I saw on TV a few months back.

It was a 500 cc bike race and there were something like 25 bikes on the track. One of the bikes blew an oil line on the long straightaway just before the near 90 degree turn at the end of it. He went off the track safely. However, when the pack came ripping down to that corner they hit that puddle of oil and all hell broke loose. The cameras caught this one amazing shot of this guy sliding into the safety padding along with a few others and their bikes. He went back first and came to a stop sitting on the ground with his back against the padding. You saw him sit there for a split second in slow-mo just before he ducked his head as this 400 lb bike slammed into the padding right where his head was. The bike bounced away from the wall landing just away from him. Crazy.
