WHOA!!! My queue just flushed!!

I just looked at my queue and about 53 results in there are uploaded! :Q

This might be an opportunity opening up here!

:frown:

Nothing here on my dial-up connection at work. Still timing out. Maybe my home queue had a chance to flush/fill?!

I appear to have flushed about 50 in the last hour or so. Haven't downloaded any new WU's, AFAIK. That would be bad, as I have less than a day's worth of WU's left in my cache. 🙁:|

Help! Dumb question time! I just set up my own SetiQ, how do I know if I am flushing/downloading units, what's the stats on the lower right of the map mean?? I know, I know - I'm too lazy to read the FAQ (plus gotta get to work in 15 minutes). 😛

LOL m2kewl! 😛

There's an option on the left side to look at your log to see what's happening. You can also look at the "Results" option and "Waiting" option to see how many results are waiting to upload and how many WUs you currently have available. 🙂

m2kewl, you will know if you are flushing/recieving WUs by looking at the 1st and 2nd boxes at the bottom. The first one tells you what it's trying to do, and the second tells you the status of that operation.

r: is the number of results waiting to be sent to Berkeley, wu: is the number of queued WUs waiting for you, c: is the number of WUs completed and sent through SetiQ. The best way is to have r stay as 0 (or decresing) and wu increasing 🙂

OK's proxy doesn't seem to be taking advantage of the increased bandwidth. His completed WU's is still going up, while available WU's is going down.

I connected my work rigs to ConfusedBW's proxy, and have had good luck sending and receiving WU's. Thanks Garry!!

I am fully flushed and restocked! Connecting over 56k straight to Berkeley. Not sure when it happened but sometime during the night I got lucky.

both the work & home Qs flushed and filled this morning. 🙂 (plus I had increased the min. # of days to keep from 2 to 5)

May everyone have the same luck! 🙂

Here are my SETIQ settings:

Queue processing settings
Processing Priority Download WorkUnits
Processing Times 00:01 - 23:59
Inter-WU download gap 1 minutes
Inter-WU VLAR gap 1 minutes
Look for sweet WUs disabled
Max delay between retries 10 minutes
Override for pass-through operations enabled
Override for empty queues enabled
Upload pending results enabled
Download new WUs enabled
Report stats to SetiQueue server disabled
Save a copy of all results disabled

My Q has been fetching/flushing fine until yesterday, when it got a little constipated, but it's clear this morning. 🙂
Of course I don't do a huge volume, 14 day avg is 26.6 WUs uploaded.

I had read a post one time that looking for sweet WUs was frowned upon at TA. Can't remember why.....

Besides, with you on our team, who needs sweet WUs?

😉😉😉
🙂

If it's not a problem, then I will definitely change that one. 🙂

I'm dumping, slowley. My problem is the users are crunching faster than I can dump, although it is getting better, I dumped 6 and had 3 Wu's returned with no downloads. Still its better than no dump, lots of Wus returned and no downloading.

Looking for sweet work units means that it will download WUs much quicker if they have a high AR 🙂

I've managed to get 4 WU's downloaded since around 10am (about an hour and 10 minutes). I still haven't uploaded any though.

LOL Ray! 😱 😀

What ConfusedBW said though. 🙂

Besides, it balances out all those "sour" WUs with ARs in the 0.0xx range. 😛 😛 😛

I've uploaded 2 results and downloaded 3 WUs in the last 1hr15min. Maybe could have been more but that is all my machines have completed since then.🙂

[EDIT] Oops make that 3 uploaded results and 4 downloaded fresh WUs.🙂

Smokeball - you asked a question a bunch of posts ago that I missed... 😉

Regarding the connection type, I think in general (assuming your queue is not flushing through another queue or a proxy in general), "WinInetDefault" works in most cases. Alternately, you can try "WinSockDirect" if the default doesn't work well. 🙂
