Yeah, I'd buy a Lexus over a Benz any day. Lexus knows how to deal with their customers. My dad had a 1993 Lexus GS300, it was rather nice.

Lexus styling leaves me wanting, I would rather spend half the money and buy a fully loaded Toyota as IMHO buying a Lexus is a waste....

Personally would Take anything German over anything Japanese anyday though as I feel the Japanese cars to me (short of their super sports cars) have no soul and are all too bland.

Funny that now Lexus is getting more popular I am hearing more negative comments about their Customer service dept...guess once you get big it is tough keeping up.

:Q Not many people at our hs didn't have a car... but you lived close by...

Even if I didn't want a car my parents would have forced me to drive so they didn't have to drive 60miles roundtrip to drop me off.

/hijak

I am on my second Lexus now.

yah i know what you mean, sometimes it was a little embarrasing to be dropped off and then have a classmate park their mercedes slk...but, money isn't important to me, so I survived.

I had the car whenever I came home though or on weekends, so it wasn't that big of a deal, just bummed rides off my friends to chipotle : D.

I think I was the only one who didn't have their own car though, except for one person who never got their license, and one girl who got into so many accidents and had too many tickets. I think nearly all the juniors have cars as well :0.

but yah, I lived 5 min from school.

Kids with luxury cars....what is the world coming to? That's almost as absurd as my 19 year old roommate getting a brand new (at the time) 2002 BMW 330i. Anyways, that's cool that Lexus gives crap like that, I just got a VW and while they haven't sent me crab crushers, I have got various things like oven mitts and the thing to was my car.

And I also have to agree that I would much rather buy a German Engineered vehicle then anything Japanese, especially a higher end model of an exhisting car, hence why I would never buy Audi.

That new A4 though is pretty sweet, and the S series, not to mention the TT which is nice, original and used can be had at great deals...IMHO much better than anything Japanese on the market.

Audi is the higher-end of VW as far as I know, they are both german. Why I like audi? Quattro. My dad has a 1998 A6. Nice car.

I feel a lot safer in a German engineered car than in any japanese car I've driven or rode in.
