Whoa. LaunchCast.yahoo.com is awesome

Prolly gonna get flamed for finding out about this so late, but if you go to launch.yahoo.com and then click on radio, you get a choice of a ton of different radio stations, all high quality, with absolutely great music. Plus, you can skip and rate songs, so it starts to develop a selection of music just for you. Let me know if anyone else has used this before. I think it rocks and blows away shoutcast. As for commercials, they have a 30 second ad every five songs. not bad at all. LMK what you think.

Yep! I enjoy it at work all the time. I listen to the 80's or New Wave music. I constantly find good songs which i never heard before. A very good website in my opinion. Live365.com is also very good, it also allows you to do the same things which Launch allows. I personally think live365 is better, because it has a much larger choice.

Doesn't work in my browser (they say they don't support it). And the sound quality is pretty bad. Oh well, back to shoutcast.

Yup, the sound quality is rather disappointing. Im guessing its about 20kbit WMA. and its an older version of the codec too.

Now if only they broadcast at 64kbit WM9, yumm..

You can do the same with videos, except you cant choose at particular genre.
