Interesting... btw, last time I went to your site, it was down... Shameless request: Do you have any high resolution pictures of an Audi A4/S4/TT? Those would be nice.

It really is a handsome design - I remember seeing it years ago in a C&D article about the Sultan.

He has dozens of totally unique Ferraris, including some that are basically stock Formula 1 drivetrains in a roadgoing body. It amazes me that Pininfarina et al go to the effort of designing such pretty cars for a single buyer. Apparently Ferrari, Lamborghini, Aston Martin and co. create elaborate multimedia sales presentations for him, and each pays a full-time mechanic to live in Brunei and maintain their cars in the Sultan's fleet, which fills several airplane hangars.

It gets worse. Apparently at one point he had a huge surplus of spare Bentley parts, and they were becoming unwieldy to store, so he took something like ten tons of them (no doubt worth tens of thousands and probably more) and dumped them off a freighter into the Persian Gulf.

Why would he dump tons of car parts half a world away from his home?

his "home" cost 350 million dollars and features not only nearly 1800 rooms, but 250 toilets and a dining room that seats 4,000.

hmmm my mom once told me about her female friend marrying one of sultan's family (well not to be a wife, but sort of like a concubine), a 2-3 karat diamond was attached to the friggin invitations!!! Also, as a wedding gift, the guy bought her a hotel in Indonesia, and she gets to pick which one!!!

so maybe you can marry someone in the family.... LOL

side note, WTF? we can't say f@p anymore? I was f@pping to the beauty of the Ferrari and it's now a forbidden word :(
