While that may be true, it doesn't mean not blocking ASN's from hosting providers doesn't do anything. I see Amazon try to get in my site all the time. As well as Azure on my websites and my home network thanks to Peerblock where I created lists for hosting company blocks. I'm not saying I know everything related to IT, but I do have a fair amount of knowledge. If you find that erroneous, then try connecting to my site with an Amazon instance or a VPN. Amazon will get blocked and most VPN server IPs are blocked Even Tor.
