Dude, I know exactly what that feels like. I just came back from upstate ny (maybe 30-45 mins from where you are) and it was bloody cold. My poor car could barely take those temps. When my friend and I heard the morning temp was gonna be -38 I knew we were in from some bad stuff.

-28C here in Montreal. And it's warmer than it was this morning. The guy on the radio this morning said it was -33C in Quebec City this morning with a windchill of -49C (-56F).

I think that the Canadian windchill factor is more conservative than the American from past experience. I could be wrong, though.
