Whoa, another forum feature I failed to notice for like forever

IronWing

No Lifer

Try it.

I don't have the arrows, I just have two diagonal lines in the bottom right corner of the box I can drag to expand and contract the box. I wonder if its browser or OS dependent.

What the hell is that? I clicked "Go Advanced" for the reply and don't see anything like that. You're not talkin about being able to resize the "Message" reply box right?

I never noticed that either, I always just go advanced because I'm an advanced kind of guy. Or so I thought, now I see I wasn't really advanced and my entire world has been shattered. Thanks OP, you asshole. 😡

It's invaluable for replies in P&N where one wishes to have an entire rant in view at once so that one can insure that one's own sage reply will cover all points made. 😛

I'm using Waterfox but yeah it's in Chrome as well. I've always thought of that feature as browser-based (rather than dependent on the website) but I guess I'm not completely sure.

Frankly, I think the feature is offensive and should be removed.

Some posters here have it bad enough just trying to come up with a rational reply that sufficiently fills the default text box without imparting a sense of inadequacy. That there is an option to
embiggen the box
is hateful and clearly intended to mock the less able and less intelligent. To put it in terms that those people can understand, it's total bullshit.

To promote fairness and tolerance I demand that the reply box be replaced with an innocuous selection of emoticons that gives everyone an equal opportunity to reply to the OP without the needless suffering brought upon us by the use of words.

Who is to say that 😵 means the same thing to you as it does to me? And what if somebody selects the ^_^? Imagine the shit storm that would cause.

Posting in a man sized box. :colbert:
