i placed an order on 1/29 and when i checked the status yesterday, it said the order was closed.

Damn... I tried to call yesterday but I guess they shortened their hours to 9-5pm EST. So I call back today and it just rings endlessly (guess they did fire everyone). Now the previous web storefront is gone and all one can do is link into the same old order status info.

This sucks!!! If mvp.com couldn't fulfil orders, then why the hell did they continue taking them? Not to mention slashing prices so low...

Well I guess there's nothing we can do until perhaps CBS Sportsline opens the new site. I guess at that time we could try to make them honor these orders that were never shipped.

i got this email last night saying that the supplier cannot give them the merchandise on time, so my order will be delayed. however, they value my business with them, so they put my order as "urgent", and will send out as soon as they receive the product. Hopefully I do get my stuff though.

Exactly... why bother to have this sale when all they plan to do is get us excited about buying some really expensive stuff that never goes on sale for more than 50% off, only to later find out that our order has been canceled? That's so #$%@ up.

Nope. Most of my orders has been canceled. My friend's order of a few small things are still ok, but his tennis rackets were all removed. Very disappointing...

They shipped roller blades from the 6th of Jan, Of the orders that I placed at the fire sale , I have on Callaway 7 wood that is listed with tracking #'s from the 25th. Shipped on Friday the 2nd. Two oreders say "Your order is currently being processed" tTHe others say Received. I would love to get one of the Callaway GBB Hawk Eye Drivers that I ordered. One was nuke from my list and two are pending. Hell if the seven wood shows it will be worth it.

afronaut so your order placed on the 25th actually have a tracking to it now? lucky.. i placed two on that day, the first one is being processed, and the other one is only received.
an email from their customer service said that their supplier cannot supply the merchandice i ordered as quick as they expected, so my orders will be delayed. they also said they'll send out the stuff as soon as they receive it.

my friend's order was being review too, until 2 days ago, it got changed to "have been received".. so they're actually doing some sort of progress

they cancelled my order and i went ahead and bough my tennis raquet somewhere else so i hope they don't go ahead and ship it now

fyi: if anyone is looking for a good tennis raquet, check out www.tennisshop.com and click on "specials" in the top left hand corner. they have the "Head Radical OS" for &49.99. this is the same raquet agassi and kuertan, among others, use.

Called Sportsline.com to see if they had any word on the MVP.COM order status. The CS rep read off a printed statement saying that all orders placed before 2/1/01 were the responsibility of MVP.COM and that Sportsline had no further information.

I just got the biggest and the most diverse order "CLOSED by MVP. It had all the "good" stuff in it. They just shot it all. I still have two to go and I am waiting on one that is shipped, but the UPS number assigned is not found by the tracking site. I hate John Elway, (always have) hehehe

hahaha, join the club. I know, they only nuked the orders that I actually wanted. That's so sad.

Anyone try calling that number mentioned above? What good do you think it'll do you? "We're sorry, we were bought out so the orders you wanted probably won't get filled?" I don't need a CEO to tell me that.

ok, I just got off the phone with, who I'm assuming is Mr. Costello's assistant. Very nice lady who stated that their CS is down from 35 people to 4 and that they are swamped. I asked to talk with Mr. Costello, but he was standing out on the ledge thinking about all the lost stock options (jK). She did say that MVP is having problems with the shipping companies (Translation - We owe UPS a big chunk of jack and UPS won't pick up any of our orders). She did say, if you don't hear anything within the next week that it probably ain't going to happen.
One of my orders was justed closed today, so someone is working on cancelling the orders. Would have been nice to atleast get one of my orders.

Hello all,

I do have a bit of good news regarding MVP.com I placed an order for a set of irons a couple weeks ago. I received an e-mail confirmation of my order the following day. Then for the next 2 weeks I heard nothing from them.

And I read about all the cancellations here at the forum. I had all but given up until a CSR called me yesterday. He called to tell me that the irons that I had ordered were out of stock. However, he offered me a more expensive set of irons instead for the same price. Needless to say I took his offer. He told me the irons would ship in the next 2 business days. Wow, was I surprised. Besides the SLOW SLOW service I can't complain as I got a great price on a great set of irons. Hopefully some of you will get your orders too.
