I have to agree with some previous postings:

Kurt Cobain: Had a lot of incredible music left in him for sure

Doc Gooden: For 1 year probably the best pitcher ever

Mozart: Is considered by many people to be the best composer and he lived half as long as Bach Sr.

People who's lives got cut short really shouldn't be included IMO, since they cannot possibly 'live up' to anything... It should be those like Tyson who squandered great opportunities.

Just when his acting career was starting to take off too. :(

I have visited Bruce and Brandon Lee's graves twice now.

If Bruce Lee and Brandon Lee met in the afterlife...do you think Bruce pimp-slapped Brandon for being Dolph Lundgren's sidekick in Showdown in Little Tokyo?

Johnny Murata (Lee): Kenner, just incase we get killed, I wanted to tell you that you have the biggest dick I've ever seen on a man.
Chris Kenner (Dolph): [nods] Thank you.

LOL. Good thing I didn't sit through that crappy movie. I manage to see snippage of it on TV and always change the channel. I'm fairly certain Brandon would want to put that all behind him.

I treasure my copy of the Crow DVD. It will always be the role I remember him by.

They were great, but all three had pretty much peaked creatively by the time they died.

You might be right with Morrison but I think Hendrix and Joplin had in no way peaked.

Ken Griffey Jr - fantastic start to a career until he went to Cincy and became injury prone.

Granted he reached the top of his "field," but it could have lasted longer if he wasn't so crazy.

I feel like that. I'm doing pretty well, but I think I could have done WAYYY better if I had the confidence and drive I have today 15 years ago :( Something happened in my late 20's where I started becoming more sure of myself and started getting a lot of ambition, but it was too late to start over by then.
