Ok...remember that old saying..
"It's not what you know, but who you know..."
Well, I know this is a pointless thread to some people, but I am wondering who you would realistically want to know if you were looking for a job... let's say in technology...(since many here in the forums are tech buffs..)
Let's keep in mind the "realistic" part of the question...
There is no way you can say you would want to know Bill Gates or Donald Trump, because obviously, the odds of you ever having a talk with people like them as very slim... So I mean on a realistic level...who would you want to know, or should I say, who could you know? (since most small/medium size company board members and executives are very reachable by just dialing the number of their company's headquarters and asking to be transferred to them...)
Many CEO's and board members are just a phone call away...
It probably would never hurt to give them a call and try to establish a relationship with them and become friends with em....or at the least have them know who you are and what you know pertaining to their company's developments and what you can contribute etc....(just an idea...)
Because "who you know" is what counts...
