Considering in a normal election the R probably would've gotten 65%+ of the vote, at least 15% of people put country before party.

Good lord no. We've had that position locked up for decades. 50th place in the best things, 1st place in the worst things. The general population is redneck, uneducated idiots who believe everything the Bible says to the word but don't have the intelligence to know any better.

I've been very negative about this Trump extended-hiccup but about this [Alabama] vote, on other forums as well I just wanted to be and stay optimistic, encouraging Alabamans to do the right thing even if Republican.

I was so sad when it became evident that there were enough crummy people in the country to vote for Trump election day but I still couldn't help but to choose optimism in Alabamans.
 
But hey, Trump is finally giving us some winning.

So, VA stomped the GOP, and of all Christmas Miracles, Alabama somehow fails to elect a GOP pedo-rapist? wtf is going on?

Did he ever actually say he'd get them Republican/Conservative wins? Because if he didn't clarify he can still probably convince his base that a win for the opponent is still a win... a win is a win is a win and they'd gobble that shit up without even batting an eye. The worship would continue uninterrupted.

We can only hope that he'll ride those horses off into the sunset, never to return to public service. But given his history, I doubt this will be the end of Roy Moore.

At least if we have to hear about him I hope that it's because his life becomes so complicated that isolating himself becomes his only option.
 
Trump could always appoint old Roy to some cabinet post.
Moore could run again in 2 years. this senate seat has two years remaining.
Over at Fox, they are once again eating their own.
Fox News, openly conceding that Moore was a and I quote "a terrible candidate".
Funny.... they were not saying that 5 hours ago.
Five hours ago Moore was their savior over at Fox and once Moore won Moore would not only ride his horse but ride that house on water. Just like Jesus did.
ANyway.... The way Roy Moore uses religion as a weapon reminds me exactly how ISIS and terrorist extremist use their twisted views of Islam to justify their terrorism.
Alabama did not only dodge a bullet with defeating Moore, they defeated a religious terrorist.

It was just my opinion on what I have seen all over the news with interviews of the locals in Alabama...

I do not have a crystal ball as some on here claim to have.

I couldn't have voted for Moore personally if i were an Alabama resident.
 
Thank god for black Alabamians, for that Fox News bubble detached from reality, for the willingness of sexual assaulted women to expose these guys better late than never, and for the Soviets for rigging still another American election.
That last part no doubt Trump's belief come 5am tomorrow morning.

Allow me to add this little gem to your post. Trump selected Sessions as AG. Trump now sees Sessions as nothing more than a flat tire on his Trump Mobile. Thinking that it was a safe bet that a Repub would replace Sessions, selecting him was a win-win any way he looked at it.

With Dem Jones taking Session's seat, Trump's supposed win-win turned into an epic backfire and resulted in a lose-lose and it's all on Trump and his choice for AG. Trump can blame no one but himself for this epic mess he created for himself and his Repub controlled Congress. 😀
